Floral Phrases

The Detailed Floral Thinlits, Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the Stitched Ribbon. Beautiful!  I am experiencing a bit of trouble with getting the pieces out after running the thinlits through my Big Shot. Maybe I just need a shim (extra piece of paper in my sandwich before running it through the Big Shot). =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper - Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Detailed Floral Thinlits, Die Brush, Precision Plate, Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestone, glue dot

Snow Place Buddies

I'm in LOVE with the Snow Place stamp set... it offers so many options. Also, pairing it with the Snow Friends Framelits makes creating cards a breeze.
Now, I do have to say that I copied Mary Fish's card... with a little tweek. Thanks so much for your inspiration Mary! I can see many possibilities using this set. Here is Mary's card:

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Snow Place
Ink - Memento, Cherry Cobbler
Paper - Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Snow Friends Framelits, glue dots, Banners Framelits

MeltingMan

I've seen so many melting snowmen on Pinterest using the 'Sprinkles of Life' cloud stamp ... I just had to create one of my own. Now I did copy Melissa Davies' card, but tweeked it to make it my own. Thanks so much for your inspiration! Here is Melissa's card:

The way the sentiment came out was a mistake, but I think it made the card that much more appropriate, as it looks like it's fading/melting, like the snowman. The look was achieved by using the Basic Black marker on the stamp (so I could only get the words "Snow Way!")... I guess I should have stamped it on scrap paper and re-ink. As I said... I think it's perfect for the card.

Supplies Used:Stamp Sets - Sprinkles of Life, Snow Place
Ink - Smoky Slate, Memento, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper - Whisper White (thick), Brushed Silver
Accessories - Big Shot, Snow Friends Framelits, Tree Builder Punch, dimensionals, glue dots

Snow Friend

Starting to create some Christmas cards for this year. I knew I wanted to use the Snow Place stamp set, but wasn't sure what to place in the background. Well, I remembered that I purchased the 'This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP)... so I found one that worked well with my snowman.
It's really fun putting all the Snow Place items together with the Snow Friends Framelits... so easy to cut out!
Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Snow Place
Ink - Memento, Garden Green Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie
Paper - Whisper White (thick), Cherry Cobbler, This Christmas Specialty
Accessories - Big Shot, Snow Friends Framelits

Elegant Wreaths

I've used the Wondrous Wreath before using traditional colors for Christmas (green and red) and Fall (orange, yellow), so I wanted to create some classy wreaths with white and gold.  I saw Cat Craig's card on Pinterest and thought I'd dress mine up a bit using the gold foil paper.  Here's Cat's card:

As you can see I made a few changes from Cat's card, but kept the general layout the same.  Thanks so much Cat for your inspiration!

Thanks for taking a peek!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Wondrous Wreath
Ink - Versamark
Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Gold Foil

Silver and Gold Stars

Creating more Christmas cards for the season. I used the Star of Light stamp set and the coordinating Starlight thinlits. I love the versatility of this stamp set too... although, you can't see it here, as I used the same stamps and thinlits on both cards. The stamp set has many Christmas messages to choose from as well as different star stamps too. I hope to create a few more cards using the other stamps, so check back with my blog soon.

On the Gold Star card, I used Gold Foil paper and Very Vanilla cardstock with Gold Emboss Powder. On the Silver Star card, I used Silver Foil paper and Night of Navy cardstock with Silver Emboss Powder.

So many cards to make for Christmas.... it's so easy to create different cards for people when you have some beautiful inspiration on Pinterest.  I was excited when I saw Elizabeth Price's card, and thought I could do something similar with the framelits and papers that I had.  Thanks Elizabeth for your inspiration!  Here is her card for reference:

Sprinkled Trees

It's really kinda amazing how this card evolved from what I had originally planned when I first started took this stamp set out.

My original color choice was to use gray/white with a touch of red for the bird. Instead I ended up using black/vanilla with the touch of red...not really traditional Christmas colors, but I believe the end result is pretty amazing!

I wanted to utilize the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper...and the colors on this particular sheet was black and vanilla. So, I adjusted my thinking and I'm so happy I did!

Thanks for checking!

Star Tree

What's Christmas without the Christmas Tree? Such a wonderful stamp set from Stampin' Up (Totally Trees)! You can use this set for all the seasons... and I hope to do this when I get the chance.

I stamped the green part in Cucumber Crush instead of Garden Green as when inked it didn't match the green in the stripe and/or cardstock

Thanks so much for taking a closer look!

Letter Year

Christmas Joy! Another Christmas card complete!
Thanks for taking the time to look closer!

I used the Large Letter Framelits on the Candy Cane Lane DSP and adhered (the negative piece) to white cardstock, so that there was a white in mat as well.  I used the 'Christmas' stamp from the 'Time of Year' hostess set to complete the sentiment.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Time of Year
Ink - Real Red
Paper - Real Red, Whisper White, Candy Cane Lane DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Large Letters Framelits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, dimensionals

Swirly Sea

I find much inspiration from Pinterest, so goes it with this card. I saw something similar using the Swirly Scribbles thinlits and the 'From Land to Sea' stamp set.
Here is the card Joanne James created which inspired by card! Thanks so much Joanne!!

On my card, I used the 'H' clear block to create the background water rectangle...and topped it with the Swirly Scribbles thinlits to create an ocean.

The turtle is colored in using AquaPainters with Old Olive ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - From Land to Sea, Birthday Banners
Ink - Soft Sky, Old Olive
Paper - Old Olive, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, scissors, dimensionals, H Clear Block

Musical

For the music lover I came up with a simple card utilizing my digital software.

I printed the music (Notes) DSP with my digital software and printed it out on Whisper White cardstock. From there.... I finished the card the traditional way by attaching the piece onto black cardstock and added a piece of white cardstock to the top. I attached the ribbon to cover the seam from the white and music papers.

I stamped the sentiment (Watercolor Wishes) above the ribbon and then adhered the whole thing to the card bases.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used
Stamp sets - Watercolor Wishes, Notes (Music DSP from digital software)
Ink - Memento
Paper - Soft Sky, Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black

Snowmen Nuggets Holder

These are so darn cute! I saw Donna Kish's on Pinterest (she got her inspiration from France Martin (Frenchie). Thanks so much ladies for creating something so cute!

If you'd like to see the instructions, you can head on over to Donna's page and view her instructions for the box. http://donnas-stampswellwithothers.blogspot.com/2015/11/snow-place-nugget-snowman.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed:+StampsWellWithOthers+(Stamps+Well+With+Others)

I started with a 6 1/4" x 3" piece of Real Red cardstock. Then, I scored it 1/2" and 1" on all sides. I cut the piece as shown below:

Now, I used Whisper White cardstock for the snowmen bodies. I cut my strips 1" x 3"... and used double-sided sticky tape first. It didn't hold to well together, so I switched to using glue dots to keep them on the chocolate nuggets.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Snow Place
Paper - Whisper White, Real Red
Ink - Memento, Basic Black, Real Red, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories - Big Shot, Magnetic Plate, Snow Friends Framelits, Simply Scored Tool, Scoring Tool, glue dots

Caring Flowers

Our Aunt had open heart surgery to replace/repair to faulty valves in her heart. Since I cannot be there in person to give her flowers... what better way to cheer her up than sending cheerful flowers that will never wilt!

I used the Falling Flowers stamp set with the coordinating May Flowers Framelits. I didn't have a "current" Get Well wish sentiment, so I used a retired stamp from the Kind and Caring Thoughts stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Sets - Falling Flowers, Kind and Caring Thoughts
Ink - Soft Suede
Paper - Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Peekaboo Peach, Very Vanilla

Thoughtful Friend

My niece loves her little black kitty, so I thought I'd make a kitty card for her.... and her favorite color is blue, so I used Bermuda Bay with the matching polka dotted ribbon (retired).

I couldn't make a black kitty due to the fact the eyes and whiskers wouldn't show up on black ink, so I used Basic Gray instead. So it's a little gray kitty. LOL!

I used the heart within in the Foxy Friends stamp set on this card. I just inked up the middle size heart instead of the heart bubble that is within the set.

Thanks for taking a quick look!

Supplies Used
Stamp Sets - Foxy Friends, Thoughtful Banners
Ink - Basic Gray, Memento, Bermuda Bay
Paper - Bermuda Bay, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Accessories - Grosgrain Polka Dotted Ribbon (Bermuda Bay)

Swirly Year

I saw a cute card on Pinterest with the word "SMILE" in cut out letters on a card and thought what a cute idea.... I could do that for a Happy Birthday card. I think it turned out great! I added a few flowers around too to make it more feminine.

Now, I do have to say... the colors in the photo are off... it looks blue. The color is actually green -- the new In-Color - Emerald Envy. I'm sure any color would work well with this though. =)

Love For You

I am happy to announce that my husband's parents are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary! Wow! What an amazing married life that they have lived so far! Congratulations to them!

I wanted to create something spectacular for their 60th.... the theme for 60th is diamonds... so I knew I was going to use some rhinestones on it.   My card measures 5x5. I found Amanda Bates' card on Pinterest, and loved her layout and design, so I re-created her card using the brushed silver cardstock (I know silver is for 25th wedding anniversary, but it worked well with my rhinestones!).
Here is Amanda's card:
Thanks Amanda for your inspiration!

Time For Flowers

For my hubby on our anniversary! Celebrating 14 years! I love you honey!

I utilized 3 different stamp sets for this card: Falling Flowers for the black vine and red flowers; Time of Year for the banner 'Always'; and Flourishing Phrases for the words 'I Love You'.

I love how it all came together so easily. I was not going to add the flowers...as the vine is pretty on it's own, but with the added flowers it just steps it up with the wow factor!

I pray that we are blessed with many more years together!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Princess Ledges Calendar Page

With the coming of cooler weather comes the beautiful color display of leaves where I live. We hiked a little park near our new home...and saw a few leaves changing. The park which showcase a huge shale ledge...prevalent here in Ohio. It was a lovely walk...and we hope to go back when we can showcase all the beautiful colored leaves too.

This will be the October page for my 2017 Calendar. Which will show all the places we've seen in 2016.

Thanks for taking a look!

Swirly Banner

Okay, so I have a confession to make... when I got the stamp set "Swirly Birds" I was perplexed as to what to use the 2 double triangle stamps for... I couldn't figure it out.  Luckily, other Stampin' Up! demonstrators figured it out and posted cards using those 2 stamps - whew!  They were used for making kites! LOL!

I'm happy to say that I was able to play with them, and came up with this great card!

I also used the Perfectly Artistic DSP for the background. I believe it's a fitting background for the kites!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Sets - Swirly Bird, Birthday Banners
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake
Paper - Early Espresso, Whisper White, Perfectly Artistic DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Bunch of Banners Framelits, glue dots

Flourishing Banner

I'd like to tell you how this card evolved. I originally thought to just place the white die-cut on top of the peach cardstock with the banner below.  It looked too plain to me. I then thought that the negative piece would look good on top of the peach cardstock with a black mat behind... I did like that, but felt it was missing something. I decided to add the die-cut piece back onto the opening BUT... offsetting it a bit, so it looks like a shadow! Lovely!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Falling Cards

I've seen a few cards using this layout with a slice of the top cardstock cut out, so wanted to try my hand at it.

I'm sure there is an easier way to do this, but I will share how I accomplished it.  With the front of the card and the Simply Scored Tool I scored a diagonal line on the carstock...then I moved only the bottom portion to create another score line. I then used my scissors to cut on the score lines. (The Designer Series Paper is covering the back portion of the card front, so that when the person who opens the card will see the left portion all covered).

I wanted to use the Falling Flowers and the May Flowers Framelits for the first time! Cute set... I can see so many possibilities!

Thanks for stopping by!

The new Floral Affections TIEF (Texture Impressions Embossing Folders) make creating elegant card easy!

With one swipe through the Big Shot... you have your embossed front...all that needs to be added is the sentiment and a few pearls!

I think my new favorite color is Sweet Sugarplum...such a lovely shade of purple.

Sugarplum Swirls

When I saw (on Pinterest) that someone used the Swirly Birds stamp set as a lollipop.... I just had to try to make a card with one too. Such creativity and thinking outside the box!

I took a close-up photo, so that you could see that I used Wink of Stella on the white parts of the lollipop to give it some shine too!  As an added note... I used the cardstock color Sweet Sugarplum -- How appropriate! =)

Birthday Friend

My niece loves kitties.... so what could be more adorable than a kitty card!  When the new Stampin' Up! catalog came out with the Foxy Friends and Fox Builder Punch came out, I just knew I had to get them. So much diversity in this stamp set.  Although, I do have to say.... it's difficult to decide which stamp to use with what...and the Fox Punch doesn't align with any stamp, so you need to punch several pieces of paper to just get the whole animal. (This was my first card, so hopefully putting together the animals will get easier the more I work with them).

I utilized a few different products on this card. The Designer Series Paper is from "It's My Party" paper stack. I used the Deco Labels Framelits....as well as the Bunch of Banners Framelits. The sentiment stamps are from Banners for You and Birthday Banners stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peekaboo Banners

Sorry, this photo is a bit flashy... I tried to get the sparkle of the Wink of Stella on the flowers (the without a flash photo...made the flowers look a bit dirty). Trust me... it sparkles! lol

I wanted to showcase the 'Banners for You' stamp set...and this is the only set I used for this card! Amazing - huh! Such lovely flowers and leaves that tend to get overlooked with all the words and banners within the set.

Thanks for taking a peek!
