Just Pictogram Dreams

I needed to create some notecards, but didn't want them all to be the same. (I was sending a note to a few of my family members.) The message was the same... yet I wanted the card to be a little special -- just for them.  So, I decided on making the same card... yet change the focus color on each.  I LOVE how they all turned out. Now, I wish I made a few more... just for me to have! lol

Thanks for stopping by!

Simple Whimsy

Anyone know what a 'fuzzle' is?  Well, in grade school.... my friends, my sister and I used to draw cute little fuzzles on notes that we passed around in school. Well, as soon as I saw this stamp set 'Simple Stems'.... I saw a cute little fuzzle in one of it's 'flower' stamps! Who knew!  Anyway, I created this card specifically for my best friend in hopes to put a smile on her face 'remembering when'!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Sorrowful Thoughts

I needed a sympathy card for my sister's mother-in-law, and I saw a card by Stephanie Lamontagne on Stampin Connection. I didn't copy it exactly, but used most of her design on this card.
I colored the Whipser White Organza Ribbon with the Marina Mist Stampin' Pad ink.

Dragonflies

One of my customers wanted some notecards made of Dragonflies. I created several for her to choose from.... and she chose the three you see here.  The "Thank-You" one.... is the card I added thanking her for ordering from me.

I wasn't getting a consistent stamped image with the Inspired By Nature "grass" stamp, so I decided to use My Digital Studio (MDS) to print the grass. I created the rest after printing.

Certain Belief - SQ36

I wanted to try the tap dancing technique that was demonstrated in the April issue of the Stampin' Success magazine. Here are the instructions for this technique (using my card as the example).
1. Ink Certainly Celery (Classic Stamp pad) on the Just Believe Stamp set.
2. Take the brush side of the Soft Suede marker, and tap the side of the brush to the stamp/or color parts/or draw lines - which is what I had done here.
3. I wiped off the color on the flowers with a kleenex/paper towel, so that I could color them in with a Pink Pirouette marker.
4. Breathe on stamp to re-moisten the ink.
5. Stamp image on the paper.

I incorporated the Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge (SQSC36) into this card as well. You can see the cards created with this sketch here: http://gettincrafty.typepad.com/stampin_queens_sketch_cha/2012/04/sqsc-36.html

Hybrid Touchdown - SCCSC113

It's always difficult for me to create a masculine cards.... most of my stamps (along with the direction of my thoughts tend to go feminine). Well, as I needed a masculine card for my brother-in-law.... no flowers would do. I created the football using My Digital Studio software....and colored it in with punches beneath the stamped image.
I used the Stampin' Connection Card Sketch Challenge (SCCSC113) for inspiration.

Tri-fold Pear - SCCSC101

I created this for my Aunt for just general correspondence. We shared the same skin aliment that lasted for 2 months - Yikes! Glad that it is finally gone. (Pun - We are a pear!)
I had the Stampin' Connection's Sketch Challenge - SCCSC101 on the right in my mind as I created this card. A wonderfully heartfelt Thank-you goes out to Diane Vanders who showed me how to create this half-cut technique with the framelits.  I believe that the pear stamp (Faith in Nature) works extremely well with the Labels Collection Framelits. Simply yet elegant!
