Mother's Day Hugs

I saw this cute card on Pinterest and felt this would be a cute card for my Grand niece, Mia, to give to her Mom, Tori (my niece). I traced Mia's hand and then cut the hands out for the card.
I printed the inside words with My Memories Suite software and printed it out on Basic White cardstock. Oh... the sentiment 'I Love You' is a stamp from the 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous' set. The heart shaped die is from the 'Be Mine' die set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Prints

My sister and her husband are celebrating their anniversary. I wanted a simple, yet elegant card. Not sure I fit the bill on simple... as it did take me a long time to design this card, but it's elegant (in my opinion).
I used the 'Natural Prints' dies for the background leaf design and the sentiment.
The sentiment itself is from the 'Beautiful Bouquet' stamp set.
The heart-shaped dies are from the 'Be Mine Stitched' dies.
Wink of Stella is on the heart to make it shine.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Stamp set - Beautiful Bouquet
Ink - Orchid Oasis
Paper - Orchid Oasis, Basic White
Accessories - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine, Natural Prints dies, Be Mine Stitched dies, Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder, Wink of Stella

St Patty's Day 2022

I used Wendy Lee's card as inspiration for my own St. Patrick's Day card. Thanks Wendy for sharing your beautiful card! I changed a few things to make the card my own, but wanted to give credit to the person who inspired mine.

For the background pieces, I used the 'True Love' Designer Series Paper (DSP).
The the background for the shamrock, I used the 'Stone' embossing folder and the 'Layering Squares' dies.
For the shamrock, I used the 'Be Mine' dies (the heart). To make the petals 'pop'... I used the stylus on the back of the die-cut shape to make the cut more defined. I used the 'Palms' dies to use as my stem for the shamrock.
The sentiment is from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stamp set, and I die-cut it out using the 'Stitched Nested Labels'. Again, I used the stylus on the back of the die-cut to make the cut more defined.

For the Shamrock Hat
I used a 3" circle of green cardstock for the base.
I cut one piece of green cardstock 2"x 7". and scored it on one side (long) .5". Then, along that edge scored every .5" and cut along the score lines. Gluing it onto the base after gathering it together on the ends to make a circle.
I cut one piece of 7"x .5" black cardstock (for the band on the hat).
I cut one piece of 1" square yellow cardstock (for the buckle). I snipped the corners off the yellow piece to round the corners of the buckle.
I cut one piece of .5" square black cardstock (for the middle of the buckle).

Thanks for taking a closer look!

I used both the 'Sweet Conversations' and the 'Meant to Be' stamp sets on my card.... along with the 'Be Mine Stitched' and 'Sweet Hearts' coordinating dies. The background piece is the 'Stone' embossing folder.

Special 70

My neighbors will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary!!!! WOW! To be married that long and still be active is an amazing to me!!!! Congratulations Paul and Barb!

Well, as I did their Anniversary Celebration invitations, I chose to use the same color scheme of Platinum/Red/White.

I used the 'Be Mine' dies to create a border under and over the ribbon (there are 4 behind the ribbon). The die-cut hearts are from the same die set. The numbers are from the 'Little Numbers' die set.

The sentiment is from the 'Special Celebrations' stamp set.

I found the Platinum paper (it's glossy from a local craft store.

Thanks for dropping by!

Stamp Set - Special Celebrations
Ink - Basic Gray
Paper - Glossy Platinum (local craft store), Merry Merlot, Whisper White (thick)

Meant to Be Beautiful

My niece is getting married (the first niece/nephew in the family). Yay! Congratulations to them!  I had the wonderful opportunity to create their wedding invitations, so I was privy to their wedding colors way in advance. Burgundy and White. So, I chose to create their wedding card with those colors.

I used the 'Be Mine' framelits to create the his and her hearts, and used the sentiment from 'Beautiful Bouquet' stamp set.

I finished the piece with gold accents -- gold foil paper and gold enamel shapes. (You may not see, but I did place two gold dots on the "masculine" heart. Kinda like a tux for the man... and the lace heart is like her wedding dress.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Beautiful Bouquet
Ink - Merry Merlot
Paper - Merry Merlot, Whisper White, Gold Foil
Accessories - Big Shot, Die Brush, Precision Plate, Be Mine Framelits, Gold Enamel Shapes

To Be Beautiful

The 'Meant to Be' stamp set, I felt, was perfect for a wedding card. However, there wasn't a wedding sentiment within the set. So, I paired it with the 'Beautiful Bouquet' stamp set. Perfect!

I chose to use the colors of the wedding on this card - Smoky Slate, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White.

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Meant To Be, Beautiful Bouquet
Ink - Tempting Turquoise
Paper - Smoky Slate, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White

Cleveland Zoo

Now that we are back in Cleveland, Ohio... and on November 28th.... we decided to go to the Cleveland MetroParks Zoo to celebrate the anniversary of us getting engaged 16 years ago. YES... back in 2000, we got engaged at the zoo. Now, many of you are wondering how we remember the actual day... usually it's the wedding date you remember the most (for obvious reasons). Well, it just so happens that November 28th was my Grandma Schwab's (my paternal Grandmother) birthday. She was the first person we called after we got engaged, so it's a date we will remember always. My Grandma passed away back in 2013, but she lived a very full and happy life.

Before we went we looked back on photos we had taken when we got engaged to find the bench where the proposal happened. While looking at those photos, we saw that we had kept the coats, scarf and shirt from way back then. Sooooo.... we decided to wear the same clothes and get a photo on the same bench! How cool it was to see the similarities in the photos taken 16 years apart!

We enjoyed the zoo.... even though it was rather chilly and had a bit of rain too.  Mike even got a smooch from an orangutan!

Thanks for taking a closer look!
