Cardinal Christmas

This card came together so quickly.... wow! Simple...yet cute!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp set - Calm Christmas
Paper - Raspberry Ripple, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink - Raspberry Ripple, Basic Black

Calm Flurry

I created several attempts at this card before I liked the results, shown here.  I originally thought to use three different colors with three different snowflakes. Also, I wanted it to shimmer a bit (kinda like snowflakes sparkling), so tried to use shimmer paint and illuminating ink with disappointing results.

I settled on using only two colors and two different snowflake stamps.  Instead of shimmer ink.... I added rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes along with the silver ribbon to make it shine.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp sets - Festive Flurry, Calm Christmas
Paper - Smoky Slate, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink - Smoky Slate, Marina Mist
Accessories - Silver Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, glue dot

Baroque Array

I needed a soft subtle 'thinking of you' card and immediately thought of a past Dynamic Duo Challenge of using Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand.  You may view this past challenge here:
http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.com/2013/07/dynamic-duos-61-soft-and-subtle-with.html
Also, I used a past Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge for this card. You may view this past challenge here: http://www.papercraftcrew.com/2013/07/24/pcccs-51-card-sketch/

Both were great challenges, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to create with them even though the challenge is not longer open.

Lots of Flurries

What an honor it was to create all those wedding invitations for my brother and his fiance.  I wanted to show my thanks to them for trusting me enough to design and create the invites for them. (It's a December wedding.... so I chose to create the thank you to go along with their invites!).

December Wedding Invitations

Sorry I haven't posted many things these past few weeks.  Now that I finally got all my brother's wedding invitations, RSVP cards and boxes created I'm sure to be posting more often.

In a earlier post, I designed many wedding invites for my brother and fiance to choose from. The instructions (Stamp sets and fonts used are listed within the original post). They originally chose a blue/white color combo.... as seen in this post:
http://mydianedesigns.blogspot.com/2012/03/wedding-invitations.html
But, wanted their wedding colors to be red and white.  It was so easy to create these invitations and RSVP cards with My Digital Studio.  I decided to print them myself, rather than going through the Stampin' Up! professional print service. (So, YES.... I had to cut each one!).
I added rhinestones inside the red snowflakes too.  These invitations will be tied with White Organza Ribbon (not shown in the photo).

The boxes I created using my Simply Scored Tool.
Each Wedding Invitation Box holds 25 invites....so I created 4.
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock - 8.5x10.5 and scored at 1 1/2".
Whisper White Cardstock - 8.5x6.5 and scored at 7/8" with a shim. (I printed the cardstock with three red snowflakes and the words '25 Wedding Invitation' before cutting).

The one RSVP Card box holds all 100 cards.
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock - 4.5x6.5 and scored at 7/8"
Whisper White cardstock - 4.5x6.5 and scored at 7/8" with shim. (I printed the cardstock with three red snowflakes and the words '100 RSVP cards before cutting).

Off to mail these off to my brother and his fiance.

One Daydream

I wanted to create a special thank you card for a very special friend! This card was a joy to put together using the 'Million & One' Stamp set.  Doris Denman had used the other stamp in the set, and place a double outline around hers.  I liked that look a lot, so I placed one outline around this stamp set..... I really like how it turned out.  Thanks Doris!

Supplies Used:
Stamp sets - Million & One, Daydream Medallion
Paper - Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink - Old Olive, Black Staz-on

Six-Sided Expression

I needed a card for my Mom, and also wanted to use some of the new sets that I purchased from Stampin' Up!  I'm so very pleased how this card came out.

I used the 'Express Yourself' stamp set inside the Six-Sided Sampler hexagon. To get 'always' by itself... I only inked that part of the stamp.  I then used the stamp-a-ma-jig to align the hexagon shape around the words - perfectly!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Stamp Sets - Six-Sided Sampler, Express Yourself
Paper - Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink - Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso
