Baby Shower Tags

My sister-in-law showed me a tag that she found on Pinterest, and wanted to know if I could replicate it for her baby shower favors. The tag above is what I was able to create with my digital software (My Memories Suite).

The two fonts used here are - Good Vibrations and Lemon Chicken. The cute little baby feet is an embellishment from My Memories - Tiny Toes. I was able to get 4 tags on one piece of 8.5x 11 piece of Whisper White cardstock. Once printed, I used my Big Shot and heart dies to cut each tag out.  The outer heart is die-cut with Powdered Pink cardstock (again, I was able to get 4 die-cuts out of an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock)

I purchased some nesting stitched heart frames online from Amazon (a seller by Eswala).

I purchased the Pink Tulle fabric from Joann Fabric and Craft Store. I cut a 5x5 square and a 1x12 rectangle for each tag. I placed a hole punch (1/8 size) near the top center of the die-cut hearts. Using the 5x5 square of tulle, I folded the tulle accordion-style and then used the 1x12 piece to tie it in the center. Once that was done, I could thread it through the hole that I made in the tag and tie it in a knot.

The strings attached were used to tie to wine bottles for the party favors!
I had to create 75 tags.... here is a photo of what 50 look like!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite
Fonts - Good Vibrations and Lemon Chicken
Embellishment - Tiny Toes (My Memories)
Paper - Whisper White, Powder Pink
Accessories - Big Shot, Stitched Hearts (non-SU), Tulle Fabric, wine bottles

Painted Pines

With each stamp set I purchase, I sometimes look to see if there's an unusual way to use the stamp/image/shape. With the 'Christmas Pines' stamp set... you would think that you could only use it for pinecones. Well, I noticed that the image sort of looked like a pineapple too. So, I thought to make a cute card using the image as a pineapple.

For the greenery for the pineapple, I used the leaf stamp in the 'Painted Harvest' stamp set.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Christmas Pines, Painted Harvest, Birthday Banners
Ink - Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green
Paper - Pineapple Punch, Whisper White, Nature's Poem DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Pretty Pines Thinlits, Bunch of Banners Framelits, dimensionals, Stitched Square Framelits (non-SU)

Punch Bouquet

For my niece who is turning sweet 16 this year! What a beautiful lady you've become! I felt that a bouquet of flowers were perfect for her sweet 16th birthday!

I used the 'Beautiful Bouquet' stamp set with it's coordinating 'Bouquet Bunch' Framelits. Such a versatile set with many combinations to try!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Baby Shower Tags & Corsage

My brother, Dan, and his wife, Tracy, are expecting their first child (due April 3rd)! We are so excited to have Eleanor (Ellie) join our family! This past weekend we enjoyed their baby shower. I was tasked to create a corsage and tie for the parents-to-be.

I used my digital software to create the images and printed them on Whisper White cardstock. The white rosette and ribbons were purchased at Joann store.

I was also tasked to create tags for the party favors that were given out during the shower. I had to create 75 of these beauties!

The tags were again created within my digital software (My Memories Suite). Once, printed on Whisper White cardstock... I used my stitched heart shaped die-cut to cut them out. I die-cut a larger heart in Powder Pink for the mat. The tulle for the bow and string was purchased again at Joann fabrics.

The shower was a hit!
Congratulations to Dan and Tracy! We can't wait to welcome Eleanor to the family!

Thanks for stopping by!

TicTacToe

When I saw Jody Morrow's TicTacToe card.... it was so cute, I had to create one for myself (well... for my Husband). Thanks Jody for your inspiration!

I created the tic-tac-toe piece within my digital software (My Memories Suite). Just lines, text and a heart shape. Then, I printed it out on white cardstock. I matted the piece with the 'Layering Squares' framelits in Black.  For the textured background, I used the 'Houndstooth' TIEF.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite
Stamp Set - Meant To Be
Ink - Memento
Paper - Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Layering Squares Framelits, Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon, Real Red Enamel Shapes (heart), dimensionals

Special Artist

What a cute idea that Tammy Shaia had using the die-cut on the top layer and using a designer series paper underneath.  I chose similar colors to hers.... yet, I changed mine up a bit to make it my own creation.  Thanks Tammy for your inspiration!

I chose the 'Perfectly Artistic' DSP (Designer Series Paper) underneath the die-cut flower piece... which is also the mat for the focal piece too.

I chose to use the frame within the 'Stylish Stems' framelits that went with the floral die-cut I used. These framelits coordinate with the 'Special Reason' stamp set... which I had used to create the leaves.

The sentiment is from the 'Beautiful Bouquet' stamp set.

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Special Reason, Beautiful Bouquet
Ink - Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive
Paper - Pear Pizzazz, Perfectly Artistic DSP, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Stylish Stems framelits, dimensionals

Blended Blossom

Ever since I saw Paula Dobson's card... I wanted to try creating a similar card. Now, I wasn't happy with the alcohol markers prior to Stampin' Blends. The Stampin' Blends markers make blending and coloring a snap!

I chose the color combo of Poppy Parade/Basic Gray/White for my card. It looks like Paula used Calypso Coral for hers.

I decided that I wanted to have an embossed background, so I used the 'Layered Leaves' DTIEF.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Blended Bloom, Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Basic Gray, Poppy Parade, Stampin' Blends (light Poppy Parade)
Paper - Basic Gray, Whisper White

Vases Layered

I needed a Thank You note... and wanted to use a color combo that I have not tried yet.  This color combo of Merry Merlot/Mint Macaron/Pear Pizzazz.

At first I was a bit intimidated by the colors... as they are not ones I usually use together. But as I played with the colors together.... and adding the additional Black.... everything came together well.

The only part that I used Pear Pizzazz on is the leaves for the flowers in the vase.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Vibrant Vases, Varied Vases (sentiment)
Ink - Merry Merlot, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Stampin Blends (Mint Macaron), Gray Granite, Memento
Paper - Merry Merlot, Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories - Big Shot, Layered Leaves DTIEF, dimensionals, Wink of Stella, Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon

Express Petals

I saw Sara Hoogendorn's card on Pinterest, and liked the layout and colors. So, I created something similar with the stamps/embossing folders that I had.

The flower is from the 'Peaceful Petals' stamp set. It's a single flower, so I stamped the flower toward the bottom first. Then, with a scrap piece of paper... I covered it up, so I could stamp the flower toward the top. This technique is called 'masking'.... where you cover up a portion of the image, so you can stamp around it to make it look like it's behind the other image. Cool - huh!

I colored in the image with my Stampin' Blends (Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive).

Thanks for taking a closer look.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Peaceful Petals, Express Yourself
Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Pool Party, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight)
