Tillamook Calendar Page

In May 2016, Mike and I took the factory tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We even got samples at the end of the tour! YUM!  We had lunch and dessert there too....featuring grilled cheese, mac n cheese and (of course) Tillamook Ice Cream! YUMMY!!!!!!

Here is a page for our 2017 calendar.  I love how easy this page came together.... the background is blue with the stamp from 'Our Happy' in yellow on top.... yep, the lines and dots are part of the opening of the whole stamp. Perfect stamp for cheese, don't you think?

Tulips - MDSM113

Beth wanted us to use something other than splatter for the background visual interest.  I chose to use the rain stamp from Everyday Adventure PL kit in Island Indigo and Whisper White.  The white I reduced the opacity so it was a bit translucent on the page.  The title and the criss-cross (or diamond) layer on the green piece are also stamps from the Everyday Adventure PL kit.

I wanted to create a companion page to go with last weeks page I completed for the tulip festival. Since the first page didn't include any tulips.... this page only contains tulips!!

Our Happy - MDSM102

It was such a simple sketch, and it allowed for me to showcase all the lovely photos that were taken by Shari Correll of us.  We had Mike's side of the family get together for a family photo... and she took individual family photos too. These were part of them.

Roaring Camp

 

Continuing with our 2014 photobook and with our trip to northern California with Mike's parents, we took a steam railroad tour with the big redwood trees on Bear Mountain.  It was beautiful... and we sat in an open car! Cool!
