Happiness For Two

I loved the layout from the card Cary and Gill created (2BigGirlsCrafting). Thanks Cary and Gill!

I chose the color combo Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue and Wild Wheat. To get the flowers just right... I inked one stamp and stamped it fully inked to the paper, then with the other stamp, I stamped off on a scrap piece first before stamping onto the flower to get that two-tone effect. Same ink.
I masked each flower (with a scrap piece of paper) to show depth.
I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the blooms to make them shine.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mike's parents are celebrating their wedding anniversary. I chose to pair the 'Wonderful World' stamp set with the sentiment from 'Something to Celebrate'. The Designer Series Paper is from the 'Daffodil Afternoon' DSP.
I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flower to make it shine.

Mothers Day 2021

I really liked the idea of the fun-fold card here from Mary Ann Cowan. I loosely used her layout/design to create my Mother's Day cards for my Mother-in-law, my God-Mother and my Best Friend's Mom.

The color combos for the flowers are: Melon Mambo/Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry/Seaside Spray and Daffodil Delight/Calypso Coral. The leaves are combo -Granny Apple Green/Garden Green.

To achieve the soft look to the flowers and leaves, I used this technique. First color in the darker portion of the stamp with a Stampin' Write marker (in this case, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Calypso Coral. Next, ink the stamp in it's coordinating lighter color (lightly). Then stamp on paper.... cleaning stamp after each image is complete. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flowers to get them to sparkle.

The sentiment frames are from 'Potted Succulents' dies and 'Hippo and Friends' dies. With the Hippo and Friends dies.... don't forget to added some additional dimension by flipping the die upside-down and running a stylus around the inner edge.

Thanks for taking a look!

Some Joy

Some Easter cards created for my family and friends. I chose the main colors of Soft Sea Foam, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink.

The images were stamped using the masking technique. I stamped the basket image first. Then, stamped the basket on a scrap piece of paper and cut it out. I placed the scrap basket piece over my stamped basket on my cardstock -- then stamped the bunny.

I colored in the images using Stampin' Blends markers. The bunny is Crumb Cake and the basket is Soft Suede. To make the shadow (to ground the image), I colored a bit of Ivory under the basket and used the Color Lifter to give it a softer look.

I added 'Wink of Stella to the flowers on the bunny and also to the eggs in the basket to give it some shine.

Thanks for looking!
Happy Easter!

Celebrate Chocolate

The 'Nothings Better Than' stamp set is just perfect for a Valentine's Day card! I wanted to create a box of chocolates.... such a cute idea! I used my 'Nesting Stitched Hearts' dies (Non-SU), to cut out a white heart. I then, stamped several times on the cardstock to create all the chocolates you see here (as you can see I didn't using a masking technique.... just stamped in rows to cover the whole shape. I matted the heart, with an Early Espresso piece of cardstock.
Both the sentiment and the banner are retired stamp sets (Something to Celebrate and Birthday Banners, respectively). The Bunch of Banners is also retired.
The background is an embossing folder 'Stone'. I thought it resembled hardened chocolate when you unwrap it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Nothing Better Than, Something to Celebrate, Birthday Banners
Ink - Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider, Stampin' Blends (Cinnamon Cider, Bronze)
Paper - Cinnamon Cider, Early Espresso, Whisper White

Something Tropical

For the ladies in my life that are my Mothers! As you know, my Mom passed away 6 years ago. Everyday I remember her and I cherish those memories I have of her. I miss you Mom!

Now, I do have my Mother-in-law, my GodMother, and my best friend's Mom.... who I think of all the time as my second Mom! These ladies were there for me in special ways! You are blessings in my life!

I chose the 'Timeless Tropical' stamp set for this. As the name implies.... mother's are timeless. And, I LOVE anything tropical! So, it was a no-brainer. lol
I chose the same layout, but wanted to chose different color combos with each.
Each stamen is colored Daffodil Delight. The color combos for each are: Seaside Spray/Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight/Lovely Lipstick, and Petal Pink/Highland Heather. The leaves are a combo of Mossy Meadow/Soft Sea Foam All colored in with Stampin' Blends.

Palette of Celebration

I totally got the inspiration for my Mother's Day cards from LeeAnn Greff (on the right)! Thanks so much LeeAnn! I obviously changed a few things, but the general design is all LeeAnn. What beautiful cards!

I used my Stampin' Blends to color the flowers: for the leaves on all of them, I used Old Olive (both light and dark). For the blue card - light Pool Party and light Night of Navy; for the purple card - dark Pink Pirouette and dark Rich Razzleberry; for the yellow - light and dark Daffodil Delight; and finally for the orange card - light and dark Calypso Coral.

I used Petal Passion DSP (Designer Series Paper) for the accent behind the floral spray.

Amazing Cross

Easter is one of my favorite holidays!
Here is the card that I created for my family... I had to make 16 of these beauties, so yes... I colored each cross and cut each one out before adhering to the card focal piece.

I used the retired 'Crosses of Hope' (cross) and 'Something to Celebrate' (sentiment) stamp sets... along with the 'Amazing You' stamp set (for the rays of sunshine behind the cross).

I used Stampin' Write markers to color in the crosses.

The ribbon is the retired Ruched Sweet Sugarplum ribbon.

Thanks for hopping by!

Ink - Sweet Sugarplum, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede

Brunch Celebration

I made several of these cards for the Mother's in my life (my Mother-in-law, my God-Mother, my best friend's Mom and my husband's friend). It's always sad on this day as my own Mother is gone... along now with both my Grandma's. I miss them so much.

I saw this color combo online, so wanted to use it for colors of my flowers. Very springlike.

Thanks for taking a closer look.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Basket Bunch, Something to Celebrate
Ink - Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach, Memento

Easter Basket

Daffodil's and tulips remind me of spring and the rebirth of the earth from the cold and deary days of winter. Easter is also a reminder of a new beginning... when Jesus rose from the dead! HE is Risen! Alleluia!

The stamp set 'Basket Bunch' and coordinating framelits 'Basket Builder' help create several different options. It was difficult to figure out which stamp I wanted to use for my Easter card. The stamp set has bunnies, chicks, eggs, a basket, a carrot and flowers to choose from. The coordinating framelits allow each to be die-cut too. Easy!

Now, I gave myself a daunting task.... to create 20 of these beauties. So, YES.... I had to stamp and die-cut each leaf, stem, flower and basket!  I added shading to my flowers using the daffodil marker too!

Hope all of you have a Blessed Easter!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Basket Bunch, Something to Celebrate
Ink - Memento, Daffodil Delight

Brunch Celebration

When I saw this color combination together on a card on Pinterest (Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron and Whisper White)... I thought that these colors would be perfect for Mother's Day.

I stamped all the flowers on white cardstock and then colored them in using Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron and Peek-a-boo Peach markers. I used the Basket Builder Framelits that coordinate with the Basket Bunch stamp set flowers. I adhered the flowers with a dimensional to make them pop.

Thanks for looking!
Happy Mother's Day to all Mom's out there!

Happy Houndstooth -SCCSC102

I seem to always struggle making masculine cards.... there seems to be more feminine stamps and designs out there. I used the Stampin' Connection Card Sketch Challenge (SCCSC102) for the basis of this card.  Although, I think the scallop edge looks a little more feminine than I'd like on my card.....I don't believe my brother would mind all too much! lol
Thanks for looking!
