Sympathy Rose

When I saw Dena Rekow's card on Pinterest... I knew I had to create one of my own.
Here is her card:

Such a lovely card and so elegant. I chose to change the sentiment to a sympathy card instead of a wedding card like Dena's. I also changed the orientation, as well as the card base... but wanted to show you where I got my inspiration from.  Thanks Dena!

Thanks for taking a look!

Easter Spring

Happy Easter!
I had a lovely time creating all my Easter cards this year.  I cannot take credit for the design... I did see someone else's card on Pinterest with just the middle framelit die-cut from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits. Cute huh?  The cards are all 4.25x4.25.

I colored the flowers on each card to match the card base, but kept the 5 pointed petals white and made them 'pop' a bit using Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Set - Circle of Spring
Ink - Calypso Coral, Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Black Staz-on
Paper - Calypso Coral, Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Wonderful Wreath Framelits, glue dot, Blender Pens

Botanical Bones

My sister loves dinosaurs, so what better stamp to use on her birthday card than a triceratops (her favorite dinosaur)! I paired Mossy Meadow with Old Olive for my dinosaur, and I used a black marker to create the eye.

I trimmed the Old Olive cardstock with my scissors to create a matte for the leaves.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - No Bones About It
Ink - Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Memento, Basic Black
Paper - Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories - Big Shot, Botanical Builder Framelits, Mossy Meadow Satin Stitched Ribbon, scissors, glue dots

Sky Boys

My Uncle (and God-Father) has been sky-diving every since I was a little girl. When the 'Boys Will Be Boys' -- and then the 'Sky is the Limit' stamp sets came out.... I knew I just had to use them together for a birthday card for him.  He still sky-dives whenever it's warm enough out ...at the age of 62! I'm too chicken to even try that. HA!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Boys Will Be Boys, Sky Is The Limit
Ink - Memento
Paper - Soft Sky, Basic Black, Perfectly Artistic DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Decorative Dots, Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon

50th Birthday

Using the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge as a guide (MOJO433), I created this fun card for my sister-in-law who will be turning '50'.

Here is the link to the Mojo Monday Blog and the Challenge:
http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2016/02/mojo-monday-433-contest.html

I drew colors from the 'It's My Party' Designer Series Paper stack. Not my usual color choice.... so stepping out of my comfort zone.  BUT.... It turned out fantastic! I hope my sister-in-law likes it too! I really didn't want to do the traditional black and silver that most '50' milestone cards have, so I believe that I did great!  (Although, now that I really look at my focal piece with the 50 on it... it kinda reminds me of a tombstone. lol! Hope she doesn't see that too!).

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Bloomin' Love, Number of Years
Ink - Melon Mambo, Memento
Paper - Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, It's My Party DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Chevron TIEF, Bloomin' Heart Thinlits, Curvy Corner Trio Punch, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Fabulous Pun

A little girl with her tonsils and adenoids taken out... poor thing! Hope this card will cheer her up through her recovery.

This stamp set, although retired now, is perfect for a little kid. It's called 'Pun Fun'. The DSP (Designer Series Paper) is also retired.

I paired Pink Pirouette with Smoky Slate....I love this color combo.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Ink - Memento
Paper - Pink Pirouette, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Smoky Slate DSP

Perfect Vines

I needed a quick 'Get Well' card for my Uncle who just went through having surgery.  I remembered this stamp from the 'Perfect Pennants' set, and thought it would be perfect for my masculine card.
I used some DSP (Designer Series Paper) that has been retired for some time now. I believe it's called 'Autumn Vine'.
Thanks for stopping by for a look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Perfect Pennants
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Paper - Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Autumn Vine DSP

Best Expression

I really like the look of this decorative frame around the edges. I used the stamp within the 'Tin Of Cards' stamp set and lined up the squiggles and dots (covering up the portion of the stamp that stopped at the corners and flower.... to give it a clean look!).

I used the AquaPainter to color in the flower with Old Olive and Rose Red.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Best Thoughts, Express Yourself, Tin of Cards
Ink - Black Staz-on, Memento, Old Olive Rose Red
Paper - Rose Red, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories - AquaPainter

Best Fields

I chose to create a card using the 'CAS(e) This Sketch Blog card sketch (CTS156). The challenge is no longer active, but wanted to use the sketch in my design (and wanted to give credit where it was due too).  Here is the sketch:

You may view the sketch challenge here on their blog:

Thanks for the inspiration!

I'd like to point out that I used the blender pen to achieve the variations in color on the plants and flowers.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Flowering Fields, Best Thoughts
Ink - Black Staz-on, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight
Paper - Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

75th Birthday

Celebrating a milestone birthday for a friend of my Dad's.
I really like how the patterned paper is revealed by the number framelits. Not sure if I like the black paper though on the front of the card... looks a little depressing to me.... but what other color could I use?!?

I dressed the label up by using the flower in the tree builder punch and placing a small (non-SU) brad in the middle of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Number of Years
Ink - Memento
Paper - Soft Sky, Basic Black, Sweet Sorbet DSP (retired)
Accessories - Tree Builder Punch, Decorative Dots TIEF, Big Shot, Large Numbers Framelits, glue dots, dimensionals
