I really liked the look of Michelle Leone's graduation card, so striking with the bold orange color. I wanted to create a similar card using the colors of Jacob's high school and the tools I had.

Thanks for stopping by!

Soccer

Here is a great card that I created for my niece... who is in to soccer.  I cannot take credit for the design of the card... that honor goes to Cathy Cains.  I saw her card on Pinterest and fell in love with it, so had to make one of my own.  I changed it a little... but most of it the same.

Here's Cathy's card:

Hoppy Birthday

When I saw Lisa's cute card (bottom)... I just knew I had to try to recreate it using what I had.  My card is the top one! =)  I just LOVE how it turned out!

I used my digital software and printed out the frogs and the 'hoppy birthday' sentiment on Whisper White cardstock.

Next it was all about texture and layers.  I used three different Texture Impression Embossing Folders (TIEF) on this project - Square Lattice on the white, Houndstooth on the green, and Decorative Dots on the orange.

Thanks for hopping on over!

Supplies Used:
Embellishment - Hoppy Memories (frogs)
Font - Agency (hoppy - Old Olive); AtLastGreeting (birthday - Pumpkin Pie)

Paper - Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Houndstooth TIEF, Square Lattice TIEF, Decorative Dots TIEF, Pumpkin Pie taffeta ribbon

Serene Sympathy

I don't usually create so many layers on my cards, but I felt that this truly looks stunning with all it's lovely layers.

My sister-in-law's Uncle just passed away from Esophageal cancer... and the ribbon color for that type of cancer is periwinkle.  Now, periwinkle is a grayish-purple color... so I chose the Wisteria Wonder as my main color.  I know it's not periwinkle, but it's the closest I could come up with.

I broke up the sentiment 'With Sympathy', so it was stacked instead of in a line by using tape on the portion of stamp that I didn't want stamped.

I used a sharpie to color the pearls black.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Bloom with Hope, Serene Silhouettes
Paper - Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Basic Black, Wisteria Wonder DSP
Ink - Wisteria Wonder, Basic Black
Accessories - Big Shot, Square Lattice TIEF, Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Sharpie (Non-SU)

Itty Banner Blast - CTS72

I'm excited about this card! It came together so quickly for me -- and that's a plus!  I usually struggle with masculine cards.  I know...this card can be for either gender I bet, but (for me) it's for my nephew.

Thanks to CAS(e) This Sketch blog (CTS72).  You may view the challenge here:

Autumn Wishes

My grandmother is back in the hospital again with pneumonia (I'm thinking she never really got over her other bout with it a few months ago).

I wanted a verse or phrase that was a cheerful get-well, and didn't have a stamp.  So.... I created my verse through My Digital Studio and printed it on Naturals Ivory Cardstock, and finished it the traditional way.

Thanks for looking!

Fonts - Fantasy (Early Espresso) and Shell (Pumpkin Pie)

Cardstock - Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie

Hanging Frog - FMS108

My sister-in-law will be having hand surgery in a few weeks and wanted to create a cute card for her. She's fond of frogs, so (of course) I had to make a card with a frog on it!
It's Non-SU.... but it's so adorable!

I used a sketch I found on the Freshly Made Sketch blog (FMS108).  You may view their challenge here: http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2013/10/freshly-made-sketches-108-sketch-by.html
It's a older sketch (not current), but it definitely inspired me! Thanks.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Ink - Early Espresso, Black Staz-on, Pistachio Pudding, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Baked Brown Sugar

Best of Surgery

It's been a while since I've created cards here, as I have been concentrating on working in MDS (My Digital Studio) creating Christmas Cards, Calendars and Scrapbook pages.  It's great to get back into working with actual paper, tape and ribbon! =)

Although, it's never fun when someone needs to have surgery..... it will definitely cheer them up when they receive 'Get Well' cards!  My niece just had knee surgery to re-attach her torn ligaments.  Her favorite color is green, so I used that on my card too! May she have a speedy recovery.

I know my cast is below the knee, but hey... I had to work with what I have on hand!  I used the retired Stocking punch and the Lattice Square TIEF for the cast.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Best of Shelli, Express Yourself
Paper - Gumball Green, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Basic Black
Ink - Black Staz-on
Accessories - Stamp-a-ma-jig, Big Shot, Square Lattice TIEF, Stocking Punch, Owl Punch, glue dots, Satin Stitched Ribbon (Gumball Green)
