Bloom and Hug

 

As if 2020 could get any worse.... my sister-in-law needed to have surgery. Here's a card I made for her to cheer her up! The color combo I chose was Mango Melon, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. But, I added the Blackberry Bliss as I needed another color for the third flower I had on the stamp from 'Bloom & Grow'.

The sentiment is from 'Healing Hugs' stamp set.

I needed a quick 'Get Well' card for my Aunt. I took to Pinterest to find a card that I liked, and came across Carole's card from Carole's Creative Corner. Thanks Carole for your inspiration!

I chose a few different colors and backgrounds.... along with the sentiment to make it my own.

My sister's Mother-in-Law just received the news that she has Shingles. What a painful and long illness. Hope she feels better really soon!

I changed up my card to utilize the different papers and stamps that I had. I cut the floral spray out with scissors (still wish there was a die-cut for those!).

Lovely Hugs

For my Aunt who is having breathing problems. Sending healing thoughts and love your way!

I used the 'Lovely Lily Pad' stamp set with it's coordinating 'Lily Pad' dies. I did a bit of masking too. I first stamped the green leaf "pad" on the cardstock. Then, with a scrap of paper, I covered the "pad" so that I could brayer over it with Seaside Spray ink. Take the scraps of paper off and poof... your finished background.

Morning Healing

I'm loving the new 'Good Morning Magnolia' stamp set with it's coordinating 'Magnolia Memory' dies. Although, it's definitely a more feminine stamp set... it's versatility is great for creating different cards.

With the huge magnolia flower, after die-cutting it, I cut the leaf and stem part with scissors. I used Stampin' Blends markers to color in each flower (Rococo Rose, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight).

Connie's card (on the right) was so simple, yet beautiful... I just knew I had to create one of my own! Thanks Connie for your inspiration!

Now, I changed a few details to make it my own. The colors, obviously, but also the square for the sentiment. I used the Layering Squares dies instead of the Stitched Squares. And I used twine instead of ribbon.

Warm Hugs

Ah! My favorite color combination! I decided to try a different technique with the "distinktive" stamp in the 'Healing Hugs' stamp set.

I stamped the image on Daffodil Delight, and then with the sponge dauber, I sponged Pumpkin Pie all around the edges. What a cool effect!

I also used a retired edgelit. "Adorning Accents" makes a beautiful card front!

Healing Roots

I needed a masculine Get Well card for my Uncle who is recovering after gall bladder/stone removal surgery. I wanted to use the 'Healing Hugs' sentiment, but wasn't too sure about the other stamps for a masculine feel. So, I paired the sentiments with the 'Rooted in Nature' stamp set... and the Layered Leaves' DTIEF.
