Painted Seasons

Now, I can't take credit for this lovely creation. I saw Lisa Curcio's card on Pinterest, I had to create one for myself. I changed mine to a 'Get Well' card for my brother-in-law who just had vocal chord surgery.

Thanks Lisa for your lovely inspiration!
Here's her card:

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Colorful Seasons, And Many More
Ink - Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Paper - Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Painted Autumn DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, glue dots, Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon

Sea Wonder

My niece is tomboy and loves animals, so I knew that I couldn't give her a card that was too girly/frilly. With her love of animals.... I chose the jellyfish, as it's one of my favs! I added a bow to make the card less masculine.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - From Land to Sea, Rose Wonder
Ink - Smoky Slate, Marina Mist
Paper - Smoky Slate, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Marina Mist DSP
Accessories - AquaPainter, Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon

Kitty Courage

The loss of a pet, especially one who has been around a long time, is like losing a family member to some. Creating a pet sympathy card is sometimes hard to achieve, but I believe I succeeded with this card.

I combined the 'Pretty Kitty' stamp set along with the 'Ribbon of Courage' stamp set sentiment. I also used the 'Layered Leaves' DTIEF (Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder) for the background.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Pretty Kitty, Ribbon of Courage
Ink - Memento
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black, Whisper White Thick
Accessories - Big Shot, Layered Leaves DTIEF, Brights Enamel Shapes (Red), Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon, scissors, Circles Collection Framelits

Avant Phrases

I needed some cheerful Get Well cards.... so when I saw Chris Slogar's cards on Pinterest, I just knew I could create something similar with it.  Thanks so much Chris for giving me the inspiration to sponge daub a darker color on the flowers to get a two-tone effect. Thanks for your inspiration too!

Now, with each flower, I inked the stamp in the lighter color. ie: Peekaboo Peach, Powder Pink, Daffodil Delight and Perfect Plum. I then took a sponge dauber (used a separate dauber for each color), and inked them in Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry and Fresh Fig... then sponged it in the center of the flowers before stamping the image on the paper. I added the stamens in Basic Black and the stems and leaves in Pear Pizzazz.

Each has coordinating DSP and ribbons to make each stand out and be a bit different from the others.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fresh Detail

I saw a similar card using the 'Detailed Floral'  thinlits with a ribbon to close the card. Once you untie the ribbon, the card opens like a normal card.

I created this lovely card for my wonderful husband. We are celebrating 15 years of marriage! It seems like yesterday that we've said 'I Do'.  I love you honey!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Paper - Fresh Fig, Very Vanilla
Accessories - Big Shot, Precision Plate, Detailed Floral Thinlits, Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon

Birthday Remarks

I paired the flower in the 'Remarkable You' stamp set along with the sentiment in the 'Birthday Banners' set in this card.

I also used the retired Brights DSP... I so miss these paper stacks from Stampin' Up! But... I have enough of it leftover that I can still utilize it on my cards for a while! =)

I added the heart from the Brights Enamel Shapes... very cute addition, if I do say so myself. Now I'm wondering why I didn't purchase these sooner. LOL!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Remarkable You, Birthday Banners
Ink - Black Staz-on, Memento, Smoky Slate, Real Red
Paper - Basic Black, Real Red DSP, Whisper White
Accessories - Brights Enamel Shapes (Real Red), AquaPainter

Adventurous You

Many times Designer Series Paper helps to add a bit more pizzazz or depth to cards....as it is with this card. Using a plain brown background would have been fine on this card, yet, using the Wood Textures DSP, adds a bit more meaning to the branch that I used as a focal piece in this instance.

I paired the leaves in the 'Remarkable You' stamp set with the sentiment from the 'Balloon Adventures' set.

I colored in the leaves with Crumb cake using the AquaPainter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Remarkable You, Balloon Adventures
Ink - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Paper - Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Wood Textures DSP
Accessories - AquaPainter, scissors
