Magnolia Rose

What a simple yet very elegant card! Thanks to Kylie Bertucci's card (on the right)... I was able to create one of my own. I changed the cardstock to Petal Pink instead of black. Wow... the difference in the look of the card now is striking! I may have to create own exactly like Kylie's with the black background.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Rose Wonder (sentiment)
Ink - Mossy Meadow
Paper - Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Magnolia Lane DSP
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Banners Dies, Black Twine

Meant to Be Perfect

I fell in love with Allison Okamitsu's card (on the right), and felt it was perfect for my "niece" (my best friend's daughter who calls me Aunt Diane). She works for kids with special needs and touches many hearts with the love that she gives.

I found this technique on Allison's blog - Round N Round where you use the Stamparatus with a square template to achieve the results here. As you can see I used a different heart stamp... and I'm sure you can utilize any shape with this technique. You can find the template and how to do this technique here: http://nicepeoplestamp.blogspot.com/2018/04/Stamparatus.html

Waterfront Tide

For a family friend who has been diagnosed with MDS - a form cancer within the bone marrow. He will be in our prayers as he undergoes chemo treatment.

I paired the 'High Tide' stamp set with the 'Waterfront' set on this card. They go well together.

To get the softer look with the mountains and ocean. I used the technique called 'stamping off'. This is achieved by loading the stamp with ink, then stamping on a scrap piece of paper prior to stamping it on the actual paper you are using.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - High Tide, Waterfront
Ink - Memento, Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry, Highland Heather
Paper - Mint Macaron, Basic Black, Whisper White, Tranquil Textures DSP
Accessories - scissors, dimensionals, scrap piece of paper

Special 70

My neighbors will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary!!!! WOW! To be married that long and still be active is an amazing to me!!!! Congratulations Paul and Barb!

Well, as I did their Anniversary Celebration invitations, I chose to use the same color scheme of Platinum/Red/White.

I used the 'Be Mine' dies to create a border under and over the ribbon (there are 4 behind the ribbon). The die-cut hearts are from the same die set. The numbers are from the 'Little Numbers' die set.

The sentiment is from the 'Special Celebrations' stamp set.

I found the Platinum paper (it's glossy from a local craft store.

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Special Celebrations
Ink - Basic Gray
Paper - Glossy Platinum (local craft store), Merry Merlot, Whisper White (thick)
Accessories - Die-cut/Emboss Machine, Little Numbers dies, Be Mine dies, Red Ribbon (local craft store), dimensionals

70th Wedding Anniversary Invite

A 70th Wedding Anniversary! Wow! To be celebrating this long of a marriage together! What a blessing! It was an honor to be asked to create this invitation too!

The colors for the 70th is Platinum. I was able to find 'Platinum' paper. In the photo you can't really tell.... but it is a shiny paper. I paired it with a dark shade of red (as that's the theme they were using).

I created the words and heart design in my digital software (My Memories Suite) and printed it on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I matted it on red cardstock and then on the platinum paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite software
Embellishments - Wedding (heart flourish - MyMem)
Fonts - Majestic (red), Cordial (black)
Paper - Platinum Foil, Red, Whisper White
