Horse Sympathy

What a truly sad day. My sister-in-law's horse, Beau, passed away from a heart attack. Beau was 26 years old, and was an Arabian Stallion. Hugs to you Sister!

I didn't have any horse stamps, so I found this 'clip art' online for free. I used my digital software to create this card... then after printing it.... finished it the traditional way.

Happy Waterfront

I have seen similar cards where the image is stamped over two layers of paper... and then the first paper is matted on top to make the image stand out! What a great idea with the 'Waterfront' stamp set!

I paired this stamp set with the sentiment from 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous'.

You cannot see it on the photo, but I did add "Wink of Stella" to part of the mountains to make them shimmer.

Balmy Bouquet

 

I was inspired by Connie Collins' layout (the card on the right)... such a pretty card! I used similar colors (Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue).

The I used two lengths of ribbon instead of her three.... I really like the look the White Organza Ribbon shows... looks like 4 lengths of ribbon instead of two!

When I noticed Chantal's card (on the right), I just knew I had to create a few for myself for the Father's in my life! Thanks Chantal for your inspiration!

Numeral Phrases

One of my nieces is graduating this year from High School. Congrats to her!

I usually incorporate the school colors into the cards that I make for graduation. Hers are blue and white. I added the yellow to make it more feminine.

I used several different stamp sets to achieve this look. The background dots are from 'Avant Garden', the sentiment is from 'Floral Phrases', the numbers are from 'Number of Years', and the tassel is from 'Celebrate Today'.

Mango Blooms

Trying out some of my new colors from Stampin' Up!. This is Mango Melody. I felt it was a very cheerful color.... perfect for a 'Thinking of You' card.

It took several tries before I got a good image of this stamp. As the ink pad was new and loaded with ink... I had to scrap some of the ink to the side of the ink pad in order to get a good stamped image.

A simple and easy card to make... just using one stamp set!

Heartfelt Ribbon

It's that time again where we participated in the PurpleStride Cleveland 2018. This is a walk/run to raise funds to help find a cure, raise awareness and support for those with Pancreatic Cancer.

The 'Ribbon of Courage' stamp set was perfect for this occasion. Also, since I wanted to thank all those that generously gave to this worthy cause... I added the 'Thank You' sentiment from the 'Heartfelt Blooms' stamp set.

Springtime Serenade

Have you tried the Springtime Foil Specialty Papers from Stampin' Up! yet? Oh wow! What an elegant card it creates! AND..... this one is so easy to do!

I used Thick Whisper White cardstock as my base. Then adhered a 4x4.25 piece of Springtime Foil Specialty paper to the bottom. Then, from a scrap piece -- I cut out a flower with scissors. I added a few dimensionals to the back of the flower to make it 'pop'.

I used the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from the 'Southern Serenade' stamp set. Then finished my card with Shimmer Ribbon.
