My cousin and her husband just purchased their first home! Congratulations for this huge step after their marriage! I chose the 'Coming Home' stamp set and paired it with the 'Corner in Bloom' stamp set. these stamps really do create a good 'anchor' for the stamps that need 'grounding'.

Spotlight on Love

 

A new HOME! My cousin purchased a new home and wanted to wish her well with it! As I have moved out a LONG time ago, I realize how much it takes to make a house a home... such a daunting task (many tasks), but I'm sure she's up to the challenge. Congratulations Jen!

I cannot take credit for this lovely card I made. The credit goes to Terri Gaines... what a fantastic way to utilize the 'Trusty Toolbox' DSP (Designer Series Paper). I love that the coordinating dies from the 'Trusty Tools' stamp set can be used on the 'Trusty Toolbox' DSP too! FUN! and so easy to create this card.

The DSP looks like a toolbox, so I (and Terri too) just used my Stampin' Trimmer to make a slit along the gray/red border... I kept the sides intact so I could adhere them to the background piece.

When I saw TravieDesigns on Pinterest... I just knew I could incorporate something similar for my own needs. Thanks for your inspiration Travies! 

I printed out the graduation cap from My Memories Suite onto Basic White cardstock and finished the card the usual way. Not sure if you can see the Chevron embossing folder on the bottom Basic Black piece.

Special Home

 

A new home usually is a time of excitement and congratulations for anyone. For my In-laws... not so much. They are having to move from an Independent Senior Living Facility to an Assisted Living Facility. They just need more assistance than what the Independent Facility can provide.

As such, I really didn't want to put 'Congratulations' for the sentiment on my card. But, I liked Julia's card and based mine off of hers. Thanks Julia!

I felt the sentiment 'Hang In There' was a better choice. Especially when the inside says "Life May Change... but my Love and Support Never Will'.

My nephew has always wanted to work on cars... his job as a mechanic at the Mercedes-Benz Dealership is fun for him. I wanted to incorporate his love for working on cards in this card... so I used the other elements from the 'Geared Up Garage' instead of the car itself in the set.

Apt Home

 

My nephew is moving into his first apartment from his parents home. It's a huge step for him, but he is ready for it. Plus... it's a shorter commute now to his new job too (savings on gas!).

I wanted to utilize the 'Coming Home' stamp set, but wanted the home to look like an apartment building. I believe I achieved it using the one house stamp three times here.

Special Camellia

 

My friends and neighbors have suffered so much loss in the past 2 years... they are really having a rough time with many family members passing away. With this passing, my friend is now the only sibling left of 10 children. I'm sure it's gotta be hard knowing that you are the only sibling left. I know they both know that all their siblings are in heaven and they will meet again someday!

I chose the 'Calming Camellia' stamp set, as it has a soft flower effect when stamped in Gray Granite. I added 'Wink of Stella' to the petals to make them sparkle. (Sorry you can't appreciate the effect with my photography skills)

It's always sad to create a sympathy card for the ones you love. Especially if it's a brother to the person you are a friend to. Hugs to the Chamberlin family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Now, you cannot see this in the picture, but the flower has a little sparkle to it. I used 'Wink of Stella' to make the flowers shine.
