Grateful Hearts

I saw this beautiful card on Pinterest from Sabrina Radoch (GlimmerCraft blog).  I wanted to re-create it for my husband for Valentine's Day using the stamps/ribbon I had.  Each is beautiful on it's own..... thanks Sabrina for your inspiration!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets - En Francais, So Very Grateful

Paper - Real Red, Basic Gray, Whisper White

Ink - Basic Black

Accessories - Big Shot, Banner Framelits, Satin Ribbon (Basic Black), Rhinestones, dimensionals, glue dots, Itty Bitty Accents Punch (Heart)

Grateful Blooms

Working with the new blendabilities markers are FUN!  I tried to do some masking with the So Very Grateful set (flowers in the background).  But, when I colored them in.... it didn't show an even line across the sentiment piece. SOOOO..... I created straight lines myself with the Taffeta Ribbon!

Just a note, too, regarding the blendabilities and the color lifter marker.  It does bleed a bit if there's no memento ink to block it's path.  Just a note to make people aware that this happens!

So Very Blendable

I wanted to test out my new blendabilities markers (from Stampin' Up).  They are alcohol-based inks, so they blend easier than the regular markers.  I do have to say....they are great to work with.  One word of note.... they do seem darker in color than what I was expecting.  But, as you can see.....lovely coverage and beautiful results!  So very cool!

Grateful Kindness

Not sure you can tell the colors on this card from my photo.  They are Soft Sky, Smoky Slate and Night of Navy.  I'm not even sure I LOVE this card, but I do like the softness of the colors together.
