Simply Timid

 

My first card using the new 'Simply Beautiful' stamp set from Stampin' Up!. I wanted a softer flower look, so used the colors of the flowers and leaves instead of using Memento ink. Thus, creating a more watercolor effect on the flowers. I did add 'Wink of Stella' on the flowers to make them shine. This photo does not showcase the sparkle that 'in person' does (sorry).

Darcy Sympathy

 

My neighbor's cat passed away. As I took care of him when my neighbor was away... it was a loss for both of us. He will be greatly missed.

I've made several pet sympathy cards over the years... but it seems this year is a rough one for many.

I designed this within My Memories Suite digital software and finished it the traditional way with papers and double sided sticky tape.

My brother and his wife's wedding colors were red/white and gold... I chose to make an anniversary card using the colors red/white and black. As their anniversary date is in December.... the perfect embossing folders were used as the background and square pieces.

Another card I designed as a Christmas card this year. I used the 'Star of Light' Stamp set for the sentiment. I used the 'Rustic Crate' stamp set for the poinsettia image and its coordinating die to cut it out. The background is the 'Snowflake Sky' 3D embossing folder. I used the Rectangled Stitched dies to cut out the pieces (except for the mat).

Evergreen Christmas

 

One of the Christmas cards I designed this year. I wanted simple yet elegant and I think I succeeded. lol

I used the 'Forever Forest' stamp set with its coordinating dies. I used the 'Star of Light' stamp set for the sentiment. I used the 'Evergreen Forest' embossing folder for the background. The Designer Series Paper is from the 'Peaceful Prints' DSP.

I added a Wink of Stella' to the trees to make them shine.

I used Rectangle Stitched dies for most of the pieces (except for the mat of the Evergreen Forest background).

Veterans Day 2024

 

I went with a "simple" design for this Veterans Day card! Although... there was nothing simple about cutting out all the "stripes" and stars and trying to get them straight. LOL! 

I used the Designer Series Paper from 'Twinkle, Twinkle' DSP.

The sentiment is from the 'Changing Leaves' stamp set.

All the paper was die-cut using the 'Rectangle Stitched' dies. Although, the stars were from the 'Stitched Stars' set (non-SU).

I just fell in love with Alisa Tilsner's card... I just had to create one of my own. Now, I did make this card my own by using more die-cuts and background pieces than Alisa did. I may just create one exactly like Alisa's in the future - it's so pretty with the white background.... leaves the flowers the focal point for sure. Thanks Alisa for your inspiration!

I chose to use the color combo - Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie and Calypso Coral on the petals and Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green on the leaves for the masks. I added a Wink of Stella to the petals.
