Deb's 2014-2015 Calendar

My sister needed a desktop calendar, and thought of me and the My Digital Studio software.  I had never created an easel calendar before, so I thought I'd give it a try.  I was impressed that you could create two years worth of pages for this calendar.... and it's cheaper than a regular 8.5x11 size!  True, the pages are smaller 4x6, and the month pages are smaller to write in (if you wanted to add names and such).  I used a symbols for birthdays, wedding anniversaries, Christmas, Valentine's, Easter, etc....so it worked out well.

Here are her pages that I created using animal photos from the various zoos we've been to in our travels. Calendar 2014....is shown on the left hand side, and Calendar 2015 is shown on the right (....in backwards order)!

Thanks for taking a peek!

But, that means I now have to work extra hard now getting our 2014 calendar done before the end of the year. Eek!

Fortunately, the MDS Monday Blog has so many sketches available for me to work with.... I'm sure it'll be a snap to get all my pages complete! Thanks MDS Monday!

For this page, I used their current sketch MDSM#39.  You may view their blog and all the pages created with it here: http://mdsmonday.blogspot.com/2013/11/mdsm39-scrap-sketch-time.html

Thanks for taking a peek!

2014 Parent's Calendar - MDSM31

For the past two years, I have created calendars for my parents.... and this coming year is no different. However, I used up all the "people" photos I've wanted to use with the last two.... that I now didn't know what to include in the 2014's calendar.

So, I decided to create one using roses, which are my Mom's favorite flower (although, my Dad will probably not like the calendar too much....hmmmm, maybe I'll make him a car one).

The photos were taken at Oregon's Rose Test Garden.  Beautiful place!  Each rose photo has a Vintage Overlay (in Always Artichoke) on top of the photo and the font used is Cordial (in Whisper White).

Now, for the cover and back.... I was inspired by the sketch on MDS Monday's blog (MDSM31). You may view the challenge here: http://mdsmonday.blogspot.com/2013/09/mdsm31-its-all-about-dsp.html . I really liked how Sue Erickson (one of the samples added) used hearts on hers rather than the rectangles, so I decided mine would need to use flower punches (to go with my flower theme throughout the calendar).  Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Thanks for looking!
