Vibrant Blooms

 

It took me a long time to create this card. Not sure what my creative block was. I started with a different vase and many stems coming from that vase. I guess less is more - right! LOL 

Now, I did add Shimmer Crystal Effects to the vase AFTER I took this photo, so the vase will have a 3D shimmer effect. AND, the flowers all have 'Wink Of Stella' added to them to make them shine.

I used the 'True Love' DSP for the background. Sets the feminine touch just nicely.

Vibrant Bands

 

I so wanted to utilize the sentiment stamp in the 'Bloom & Grow' stamp set. The flower sprays that came with it were too huge for my card orientation, so I had to find a smaller image. In comes the 'Vibrant Vases' stamp set.... I stamped three on a piece of Basic White, colored them in and fussy cut them with scissors. Perfect for the orientation of my card.

I wanted to use the other band die that came with the 'Detailed Bands' die set... so it made a subtle background. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flowers to make them shine.

Wooden Vases

I wanted to try my hand at shading with the 'Varied Vases' stamp set. I used Early Espresso to stamp the vase images, then colored them in using the Stampin' Blends markers - Crumb Cake (light and dark) and Color Lifter.

I still think I need to try harder to get it perfect, but I believe this try was pretty close! =)

I stamped from the 'Vibrant Vases' set the tulips in Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry, then colored them in with Pink Pirouette and Daffodil Delight.

Spring Vases

Hello Spring! And Happy Easter!

Since I needed to create several Easter cards... I decided to make each a little different, so my family could receive a slightly different one from the others. I chose to utilize the Sale-A-Bration Organza Ribbon as my color choices -- Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, Lemon-Lime Twist, Balmy Blue and Grapefruit Grove.

I used the vase from the 'Varied Vases' stamp set, the flowers and leaves from the 'Vibrant Vases' stamp set, and the sentiment from the 'Circle of Spring' stamp set. The stems for the flowers were hand-drawn with the Lemon-Lime Twist Stampin' Write marker.

Vibrant Wishes

I knew I wanted to try the color combo of Purple/Gray/ Green on a card.  I chose the colors Highland Heather which is a lighter shade of purple, Mint Macaron which is a subtle green (almost a blue)... and Smoky Slate which is a light shade too. I paired it with some neutral colors of White and Black.

For the vase, I added a Wink of Stella to the whole vase to make it shine. (Although... I know you can't tell from the photo). The stamp to fill in the flowers didn't cover the whole flower, so I was able to use a lighter shade of Highland Heather (Stampin' Blends) to fill it in. Makes for a more variegated flower color.

Vases Layered

I needed a Thank You note... and wanted to use a color combo that I have not tried yet.  This color combo of Merry Merlot/Mint Macaron/Pear Pizzazz.

At first I was a bit intimidated by the colors... as they are not ones I usually use together. But as I played with the colors together.... and adding the additional Black.... everything came together well.

The only part that I used Pear Pizzazz on is the leaves for the flowers in the vase.
