Wallace Falls State Park

Moving along in our 2014 photobook with our trip to Wallace Falls State Park in Washington State. Mike's Auntie Grace and her friend, Liz, drove up to see sights in Washington State, so we decided to meet up with them here.  It was a gorgeous summer day. The hike to the falls was listed as 2 miles, and it stated it was a medium hike... well, it was a bit strenuous for some.  So, we decided to take the Old Railroad Trail back... which was longer, but less steep.  All in all, I'd say we hiked 5 miles that day.  It was so worth it to view the falls though. Beautiful!

Thanks for looking!

Skunk Train - Part 2

Here's part 2 of our Skunk Train trip. WOW! What huge trees!  Now, for some of you who view my blog A LOT, you will notice that the first page is the same page I used in our 2015 calendar -- Just shrunk to fit 8.5x11 paper instead of 12x12.  I love that I can just insert from other projects in My Digital Studio.  Now, I did have to tweak a few things, as they transfer just slightly smaller or larger depending on the element. But, whew... it beats recreating the whole page! lol!

Thanks for stopping by!

It was such a simple sketch, and it allowed for me to showcase all the lovely photos that were taken by Shari Correll of us.  We had Mike's side of the family get together for a family photo... and she took individual family photos too. These were part of them.

Thanks MDS Monday!

Fabulous Borderettes

I really like the look of the Borderettes stamp set.  It is a bit tricky to get them straight on the clear block though.  The way that I got them straight was to place the edge of the plastic case on top of the clear block, then place the borderette stamp along the edge of the case.

I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I got the rows exactly perfect on my card. (I will say, I tried to accomplish this without the stamp-a-ma-jig without good results! lol!)

I covered up the words on Fabulous Four set, so only 'Thanks' was inked -- and again with my Stamp-a-ma-jig -- I stamped onto the card above the borderette.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Fabulous Four, Borderettes
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Memento Ink
Paper - Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie DSP, Daffodil Delight DSP

Simple Border

Hi there! Working on a few Thank You cards today, and decided to use a few of the new stamp sets that I purchased along with some new washi tape too. I'm really liking the washi tape... why didn't I jump on this when they first came out?

I used the 'Sweet Dreams' washi tape -- not sure what colors are in the set, so I paired this particular tape closely with Bermuda Bay cardstock. Close enough! LOL!  Oh darn it... I just figured what the colors are with this set... this tape is Lost Lagoon! I'll remember for next time I use it! haha

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Simply Wonderful, Borderettes
Ink - Memento Ink, Coastal Cabana Blendabilities
Paper - Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories - Color Lifter, Sweet Dreams Washi Tape

Flower Greetings

I needed a card to go along with some curtains I made, but didn't have a generic "Hello" sentiment.  So, with the 'Good Greetings' stamp set... I used the 'Hello' from 'Hello Love' and the 'to you' from 'Boo to you'.  Clever huh?

I knew I wanted to use the Hello Honey cardstock with the honeycomb embossing, but wasn't to sure about the inside of the flower.  I had chosen a Coral at first, but that just didn't look right. I then tried Black Staz-on.  Perfect! I added Wild Wasabi for the leaves and it went smoothly after that!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Flower Patch, Good Greetings
Paper - Hello Honey, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink - Hello Honey, Wild Wasabi, Black Staz-on
Accessories - Honeycomb TIEF, Big Shot, Ovals Collection Framelits, Flower Fair Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Beachcomber Hotel

Sorry to say it's been a long time since I made scrapbook pages...and it seems I'm getting behind again. Ack!  I'd like to get to a point where I can scrapbook things within a month of the event -- I'm hoping that CAN happen soon! Ha!

I'm working on our 2014 photobook with our trip to northern California with Mike's parents.  This happened in April 2014.  We had such a pleasant trip traveling up the coast and staying at the Beachcomber Hotel before going up the coast to see the Redwood trees (that will be my next several pages of our photobook, so stay tuned!).

More Birthday Kindness

I really love how this card evolved.  I wanted to use just the image (not the words) in the "Love is Kindness" stamp, so I masked the words before I ink it with Memento ink.

I was looking for a sentiment that would fit in the lower left (as the image was standing up at that point).  I finally realized that I could lay the image on it's side....thus giving me plenty of room for the sentiment (from the "And Many More" stamp set. Perfect!

I had first thought to dry emboss the white background, but figured that would be too plain.  So when I saw the dots in the "Endless Birthday Wishes" stamp set.... I said that would work better.

Voila! It's a beauty!

Stamp Sets - Endless Birthday Wishes, Love is Kindness, And Many More
