Christmas Lifesaver Packs

I remember when I was a kid getting a Lifesaver Sweet Storybook for Christmas. The Lifesavers rolls were each different... 5 rolls per side. Nowadays, they still sell the Lifesaver storybook.... BUT... it has only 6 rolls in it and all the rolls are the same.

So, for a cute little nostalgia for me and my siblings.... I decided to create my own lifesaver pack with different flavor rolls in each! Cool huh!

I started with a plain white piece of cardstock 10.25x 5.75. I scored it on the 1", 4.75", 5.75" and 9.5" (lengthwise) and 1", 4.75" (widthwise). I cut on each score line (lengthwise) until the first score line (each side). Widthwise, I only cut to the first score line on the .75 end.

I used scrap Christmas DSP (Designer Series Paper) to decorate each side. The squares were a 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" and the ends were 3 7/8 x 7/8". I then rounded the edges for the box ends, so they could be tucked in easier.

I attached the 'Seasonal Chums' tag to each box top after coloring it in with the new Stampin Blends markers.  I do have to say that I love using them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Seasonal Chums
Paper - Whisper White, The Christmas Specialty DSP
Ink - Stampin Blends ( Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay), Memento
Accessories - Big Shot, Magnetic Plate, Seasonal Tags Framelits, scissors, Simply Scored Tool, Round Corner Punch

Wedding Album - Brooke and Steven

On September 16, our God-daughter got married. It was a lovely wedding. We, along with others, took many photos on this day. I decided to create a small album (6x6 album) for her to have with the photos we took (photo credits to Alene Davis, Tiffany Cashman and Mike Malcor) . The album has 26 pages....and has a soft cover.  Her theme was a country wedding with sunflowers, so I incorporated that into the pages that I created.

I used my digital software - My Memories Suite to create the book, and had it printed through them.

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite
Background - Country Sunflowers (Mandog)
Embellishments - You Are My Sunshine Cluster (Snicker); Country Sunflowers - Sunflower (Mandog)
Font - Cordial (White)

Swirly Sentiments

Using the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set along with the coordinating Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits makes for an easy card.

I started with a base on Thick Whisper White cardstock. Using a piece of Real Red 5.5x2.25, I ran the background part of the Swirly Snowflake thinlit through my Big Shot. If you don't have the Die Brush... it does take a long while to get all those little dots out of the die-cut piece. Fortunately, I do have one....so it was a snap! I took a piece of 5.5x2.5 piece of Whisper White and ran that through the Big Shot with the snowflake part of the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits. Using the Die Brush again to get all the little tiny pieces out of the die. Once I adhered the white die-cut to the red, I was able to trim the edge, so that they were even. I attached a 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Gold to cover the ends. I finished by adhering it to the card base, stamping the sentiment...and added the swirls in Gold Foil.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Stamp Sets - Snowflake Sentiments
Ink - Real Red
Paper - Whisper White, Thick Whisper White, Real Red, Gold Foil
Accessories - Big Shot, Precision Plate, Die Brush, Swirly Snowflakes thinlits, glue dots, 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Gold

Snowflake Swirls

It's that time again... creating Christmas cards! Wow! This year went by so very fast! Here is one card I created using the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set along with the coordinating Swirly Snowflake Thinlits. I can see many possibilities with this set, so I hope to share them with you in the coming days.

Thanks for taking a closer look.

Stamp Set - Snowflake Sentiments
Ink - Night of Navy
Paper - Night of Navy, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Precision Plate, Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits, Die Brush, 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Silver, glue dot

In Bethlehem

What a great set to have... Night of Bethlehem stamp set and the coordinating Bethlehem Edgelits.

The city of Bethlehem is created with the two cityscape dies that are included in the Bethlehem edgelits.  Once die-cut, I just adhered scraps of Daffodil Delight to all the windows and doors behind each piece. I then attached them together using dimensionals to make them 'pop' out from each other.

I used the Rose Garden thinlit frame to cut out the sentiment. I felt it went well with the theme here.
The star was stamped in Daffodil Delight and die-cut using the coordinating die. I adhered it to the edge of the sentiment piece with a dimensional to make it 'pop'.

May the peace of Christ be with you!
Merry Christmas!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Night of Bethlehem
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy
Paper - Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Precision Plate, Die Brush, Bethlehem Edgelits, dimensionals, Rose Garden Thinlits

Wooden Christmas

I paired the 'Feeling Like Christmas' stamp set with the 'Wood Textures' DSP (Designer Series Paper) for this card. Wow! What an impact it has from just plain white paper!

I chose to color in all the leaves, berries, ornaments and ribbon on this card. Boy... did it take a while for me to complete too. (I used my trusty reading glasses too, so I didn't color outside the lines. LOL!) I used two different shades of green for the leaves (garden green and old olive), as I thought one color would make it too stark with the one color of green. The ornaments were colored blushing bride and the tips.... smoky slate. Real red was used for the berries and ribbon.

Thanks for taking a closer look.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Feeling of Christmas
Ink - Black Staz-on, Blushing Bride, Real Red, Garden Green, Old Olive, Smoky Slate
Paper - Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Wood Texture DSP

Christmas Season

Playing with the new 'Season Like Christmas' stamp set. It's a two-step stamp where you stamp the full leaf tree in a lighter color than the partial leaf tree stamp to get the effect you see here.

In this case, I inked the full leaf tree in Smoky Slate, then I stamped once on a scrap piece of paper before stamping again on the Whisper White cardstock. I then inked the partial leaf tree stamp, and stamped directly on top of the full leaf tree. I stamped the trunk in Memento ink.

With the sentiment piece, I inked the clear block in Smoky Slate and stamped once on a scrap piece of paper before stamping directly on the Whisper White... making for a lighter background. I inked the sentiment in Memento ink and stamped over the Smoky Slate block.

I added some Shimmer Ribbon (Black) to the top to finish the card.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Season Like Christmas
Ink - Smoky Slate, Memento
Paper - Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories - Clear Block 'C', Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon

Wooden Pines

I cannot take total credit for this card.  I saw Jacqui McLeay's card on Pinterest, and just thought I would create one similar for myself. Her's is a little different, yet you can see where I got the inspiration from her. Here's her card:

Thanks Jacqui!

I used the Christmas Pines stamp set along with the coordinating Pretty Pines thinlits for this card. The only stamp I used is the sentiment... everything else is die-cut with the Pretty Pines thinlits.

The pine cones had a background on Early Espresso and an overlay of Crumb Cake. The berry sprigs are Real Red and the pine boughs are Garden Green.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Christmas Pines
Ink - Early Espresso
Paper - Garden Green, Real Red, Wood Textures DSP, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Big Shot, Precision Plate, Die Brush, Pretty Pines Thinlits, Burlap Twine, glue dots

Chummy Reindeer

Such a cute stamp set and coordinating framelits are the Seasonal Chums stamp set and Seasonal Tags framelits. As you can see here, I cut off the back part of the tag... and used it to make an adorable card.

I colored the reindeer with Stampin' Blends... they work so well in coloring in the entire reindeer without making weird lines as with regular markers do.

Piano Birthday

I saw Carol's card on Pinterest through her blog 'Our Little Inspirations'. Such a cute card... and what a perfect card for a person who plays the piano or electronic keyboard piano! My card does seem a bit plain compared to hers... as I'm assuming her's is for a girl. Mine is for my Brother-in-law. I felt that it was elegant with the gold embossing and metallic ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Trees

I used the 'Totally Trees' stamp set and created a background piece for the bottom half of my card. Not sure I care for the Lemon Lime Twist on this card.... it looks glaringly bright. But... it did put my mind in line with those brightly colored palm branches in Florida and Hawaii!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Sets - Totally Trees
Ink - Memento
Paper - Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Basic Black

Beautiful Bouquet Bunch

Stampin' Up! designers come up with great ways to use stamp sets on cards. This one, on the right, is no exception! I wanted mine to look like it, but used different colors for my floral bouquet.  It was relatively easy to piece together too. Stamp the flowers on white cardstock... and die-cut them out using the big shot... then glue dot them all together. A bit time consuming if you have many to do, but as I only had one ( for my Aunt)... it was a breeze to put together.

The stamp set 'Beautiful Bouquet' has some great sentiment pieces in it too! I can see that I will be utilizing this stamp set a lot!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Beautiful Bouquet
Ink - Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Powder Pink, Old Olive
Paper - Berry Burst, Whisper White, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist
Accessories - Big Shot, Bouquet Bunch Framelits, Die Brush, Precision Plate, glue dots
