Sweet Home

My brother and sister-in-law recently moved into a new home. May they make many memorable memories in their new home.

The house image is from a larger label. I just cropped the house out of it as that was all I wanted for my project. The heart is a punch just manipulated to go inside the heart shape within the house.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

I saw Laura's card (right), and loved that layout, so wanted to create one of my own for a friend. I chose different colors...as my card is intended to cheer my friend up! May the Lord give her peace!

Thanks for dropping by!

Grow Gorgeous

Trying out the new 'Bloom & Grow' stamp set with it's coordinating 'Budding Blooms' dies from Stampin' Up!. I wanted to create a fall-ish card, so I used Stampin' Blends markers in fall hues to color in my image.

Even though the die shape is supposed to cut this whole flower spray... I was able to only cut the bottom half, by carefully feeding the paper and die through my die-cut/emboss machine (I stopped halfway, so it wouldn't cut all the way through). There was a few tiny areas where I had to use scissors to cut. Looks beautiful along the 'Wood Textures' designer series paper (DSP).

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Bloom & Grow, Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink - Early Espresso, Stampin' Blends (Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody
Paper - Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Wood Textures
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Budding Blooms Dies, scissors, Linen Thread

Seaside To Be

For our anniversary, I wanted to try my hand with mirror images using the Stamparatus.

For this, you need to stamp the image on the plastic plate on the stamparatus first, then press the plate to your paper. Next, stamp a second image next to that one directly on the paper next to it. You can tell which seahorse is the image stamped from the plate instead of directly from the stamp (the one on the right is slightly lighter in shade).

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Seaside Notions, Meant to Be, Well Said
Ink - Early Espresso, Real Red, Stampin' Blends (Crumb Cake)
Paper - Early Espresso, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Smooth Sailing dies, dimensionals, Stamparatus, Real Red Solid Ribbon

Better Golf

My neighbor golfs almost every week. I do not have an "golf" related stamps, so I looked on pinterest and found several cards that create a punch art golf scene. Perfect! Thanks for the inspiration Pinterest (and those that created this scene...which were many).

I used the Circles Collection dies to create the putting green patch. I used the two-step Owl Punch to create the hole for the green and the golf ball. The pole and the pennant were cut out using my trimmer.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp set - Better Together
Ink - Memento
Paper - Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, Old Olive, Nature's Poem

Seaside Band

Got the new 'Band Together' stamp set and it's coordinating 'Detailed Bands' from Stampin' Up!. So wanted to play around with them.

I used two different die-cuts on top of each other to achieve the layered detail you see here.

Such an easy card to make, yet so elegant looking.

Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Band Together
Ink - Seaside Spray
Paper - Seaside Spray, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories - Die-cut/Emboss Machine, Detailed Bands dies

Sailing Tide

I saw a similar layout in a monochromatic theme (blue) on Pinterest, but wanted mine to reflect natural colors.

I used a scrap of paper to create a negative space circle shape, so I could mask the area I didn't want to color. The only colors utilized for the background are Coastal Cabana and So Saffron using a sponge dauber to control the shades lighter or darker in areas.

The boat was colored in using Stampin' Blends (Soft Suede and Ivory)
