Siesta Key Album

My husband and I went on vacation to Siesta Key, Florida with my brother and his family. We rented a home for a week and had a fabulous time spending time with them. I created a photobook for my brother's family, as well as myself. It was created in My Memories Suite (my digital software program. I didn't print it through My Memories though.... as I had a Shutterfly coupon for half off the total cost of the books. The book came out beautifully! My brother's family was delighted to receive the album to highlight their trip too.

Here are the individual pages:

Flamingo Get Well

My cousin had surgery on her hip and is recovering at home for a few weeks. The brace that she was given, immobilizes her hip/leg so that it's in a bent position. She referred to it as a 'Flamingo Brace'. I wanted to create a card that had flamingos on it, but didn't have a flamingo stamp.  I did recall that I had some digital paper within my digital software that had flamingos. So, I created this card within My Memories Suite and printed it out on Whisper White cardstock... and finishing it up the traditional way.

Colorful Layers

My friend loves the color blue, so I knew I wanted to incorporate her favorite color within this card that I was creating for her birthday. I loved the cheerful colors of the color combo - Daffodil/Bermuda/Calypso too!

I had first stamped the flower image from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. I wasn't happy with the results... so I opted to just use the thinlits flower die from the coordinating thinlits 'Seasonal Layers' to create my flowers.

Birthday Wings

I paired two different stamp sets for this card. 'Watercolor Wings' for the butterfly and 'Big On Birthdays' for the sentiment w/flowers.

The 'Watercolor Wings' stamp set is a triple-time stamp set, meaning that you have to stamp several layers to achieve the finished stamped image. For this card, I chose to use Daffodil Delight for the base of my butterfly. Then, with the wing edges, I used Pumpkin Pie ink. Finally for the last layer, I chose Memento ink to finish off my Monarch butterfly.  I used the Butterflies Thinlits to die-cut the butterfly to make it pop up from the panel.

Stamp Sets - Watercolor Wings, Big On Birthdays
Ink - Memento, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum

Birthday Layers

I was again inspired by Natalie Lapakko's cards... this one utilizing the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper along with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits (leaf die-cut).
This card was easily created using a 3x3 inch piece of the Wood Textures DSP, and adhering the leaf die cut on top. The sentiment was from the "Birthday Banners" stamp set.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp set - Birthday Banners
Ink - Early Espresso
Paper - Whisper White, Early Espresso, Wood Textures DSP
Accessories - Big Shot, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Precision Plate, Die Brush

Botanical Quotes

I totally fell in love with Chiaki Haverstick's lovely wedding card. I found it on Pinterest. I knew I had to create my own for my God-Daughter who is got married today! The white with gold foil is so stunning together.... perfect for a wedding card!

I used the sentiment from Occasional Quotes (a retired set). Although die-cutting each flower was a bit time-consuming.... once die-cut... it was easy to just glue-dot them on the panel.

Congratulations to Brooke and Steven!

Wedding Invitations - Sunflowers

I had the great pleasure of creating the wedding invitations for my Goddaughter, Brooke, and her fiance, Steven. Now husband and wife as of September 16, 2017! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hall.

The outside pocket card is made from a single sheet of 8.5" x 11" Night of Navy cardstock. I cut the piece to 8.5" x 10". I then scored it at 5" down the center (the 10" side). I then cut the left side of the paper to 7" (out of the 8.5") and made the cut reach the score line. From there, I scored the flap to create the pocket. I used one glue dot to adhere it to the back.

I designed both the invitations and the response cards with my digital software - My Memories Suite.
The sunflowers are from Country Sunflowers (Mandog) and the fonts used are Engravers MT, Berhart, and Chancellor. I created 100 invitations.

After adhering each invitation to the pocket card, I placed the response card and an envelope in the pocket to the right. I purchased burlap cloth from Joann's to use to wrap the invitation closed (I used staples to stick the ends together... as well as stapling the sunflower back to the burlap. I then added the sunflower center on top to hide the staple.

Avant Flourish

This card is a little out of my comfort zone with it only being black and white for a birthday card. I'm more for color to celebrate a birthday, BUT.... I believe my niece will love the color choice as well as the design.

I used the 'Inside the Lines' DSP (Designer Series Paper) for the background. You could color this background... as it would give a 'pop' of color and create a whole different card. I chose to keep it just B/W.

The flower is from the 'Flourishing Phrases' stamp set, and YES.... I did use scissors to cut it out.

The sentiment is from the 'Avant Garden' stamp set.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Flourishing Phrases, Avant Garden

Seasonal Colors

Ahhh...don't you just love the colors of Autumn! This is my favorite season! I love all those rich colors on the trees. And once they are on the ground.... I love noise of walking through them.

So, I decided to use fall colors for my card here.

I used the 'Wood Textures' DSP (Designer Series Paper) to create both the Adirondack chair and the branch for the flowers with the 'Seasonal Layers' thinlits.

The flowers were stamped with the 'Colorful Seasons' set and cut out using the corresponding thinlits.

Totally Wonderful

I thought Fiona's card was so cute using DSP for the grass for a new home. I chose to use the flower design (Old Olive).

I stamped the tree (Totally Trees) with Chocolate Chip ink, then colored in the leaves with the AquaPainter in Old Olive. The Chocolate Chip did bleed some, but not enough that it looks bad. (Kinda wish I had memento ink in brown)

I cut the "grass" using the Circles Collection Framelits... the last circle has the scallops. I stamped the house in Memento ink and cut the piece out using scissors... I did the same with the tiny heart too!

I adhered the house to the grass with dimensionals to make the image pop-up.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - You Brighten My Day, Simply Wonderful, Totally Trees
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Memento, Old Olive
Paper - Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive DSP, Whisper White
Accessories - Scissors, dimensionals, Circles Collection Framelits, Big Shot

Limitless Day

I wanted to show you how a creation that you find on Pinterest spurs you to create your own card. I saw 'The Stampin Shed''s card on Pinterest, and knew that I could create one similar with the products that I own. Although, not an exact CASE (Copy and Share/Steal Everything)... I wanted to show how you can create your own card from what someone else creates! Thanks to The Stamping Shed for their wonderful creation!

I started with a 5''x 3.75'' piece of white cardstock, and cut the inside out 1" from the outside edge. I adhered the Real Red Brights DSP to the back of the white cardstock... then attached it to a piece of Basic Black cardstock... trimming it to create a mat.

I stamped the house and 'Yay' sentiment on cardstock and then used scissors to cut the images out. I attached the flag to the back of the frame using two-sided tape, but only on the edge, so it can be flowing free. The house is 'popped-up' using a dimensional.

Stamp Sets - You Brighten My Day, Sky Is The Limit
Ink - Memento
Paper - Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red Brights DSP

Nail It Big

I saw Juana Ambida's card on Pinterest and wanted to create one for myself... I used red instead of her yellow. Thanks Juana for your cute card!

I used an AquaPainter to color in the tools with Smoky Slate and Real Red. For the ruler, I cut a strip of Silver Foil the width of the die-cut (1/2"), and than ran it through the Big Shot instead of cutting it after I ran it through the Big Shot. The edge looked better doing it that way in the finished product.

I used the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from the 'Big on Birthdays' stamp set... I just stamped them separately to get them on top of each other rather than in a straight line.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Big on Birthdays, Nailed It
Ink - Real Red, Black Staz-on, Memento, Smoky Slate
Paper - Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories - Big Shot, Stylish Stems Framelits, Build It Framelits, AquaPainter
