Birthday Celebration 2015

Continuing work on our 2015 photo book with my birthday celebration (my 44th - whoo!) back in March 2015. We tried the 'Nothing Bundt Cakes' bakery for the first time... and they were delicious! I say 'they' because we couldn't decide on one kind, so we got 4 different kinds. Each individual cake fed both of us, so we had enough for 4 days.  YUM!

Thanks for looking!

Background - Black
Punch - Square (filled w/ Night and Day DSP #4); Flag (filled w/White)
Embellishments - B&W Calendar (flower gem); ConGRADulations (gray ribbon)

Sammamish Park

We are so very fortunate to live where we do in Washington State.  There is so much beauty so close to where we live -- some, which in this case -- within waking distance.  Mike and I love to walk, so when improvements were made to the walking trails around Sammamish Lake.... we just had to try them out.

Now, remember I am way behind in my scrapbooking.... so I'm still working on 2012! HA!  I will get caught up-to-date! I will get caught up-to-date! I will get caught up-to-date! <--- Maybe if I keep saying that it'll happen.....someday. LOL

In creating these pages, I used the Urban Garden DSP.  Once I had the papers down how I wanted them.... I just selected add a duplicate mirrored page to get my second page!

Besties - DGSC111

I created this page for the Splitcoaststampers Challenge - DGSC111 - June Themes + Color Challenge.  It called us to use a theme for the month of June.... I used 'Best Friends Day' -- which was on June 8th this year.  Also, it asked us to use the colors Coral, Blue and Sand.... I used Calypso Coral, Marina Mist and Crumb Cake.

The poem I used was found on the internet, and here is what it says:

The best of friends,
Can change a frown,
Into a smile,
when you feel down.
The best of friends,
Will understand,
Your little trials,
And lend a hand.
The best of friends,
Will always share,
Your secret dreams,
Because they care.
The best of friends,
Worth more than gold,
Give all the love,
A heart can hold.
Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Background - Textured Cardstock (Calypso Coral)
Stamp Brush Set - Presto Patterns Overlays (Very Vanilla)
Punch - Flag (filled w/Crumb Cake)
Text - Adorable (Marina Mist and Very Vanilla)
