Light Snow

Thanks to Cindy Elam and her lovely card that I saw on Pinterest... I wanted one for myself! I changed some things to make it my own, but wanted to show you where I got my inspiration from!
Thanks Cindy!

The 'Snow Front' stamp set is such a lovely set, and so versatile too! If you loved the 'Waterfront' stamp set.... you'll fall in love with this set too!

Christmas Cards 2019

I designed our 2019 Christmas Cards using my digital software, and then having them printed through MPix. The pictures are of us throughout 2019.

Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite digital software
Background - ConGRADulations

Light Snowfall

I wanted to create a snowflake card that wasn't blue, but sort of silver in color. I had some leftover 'Brushed Silver' cardstock (SU). It does look more gray than silver, but it worked for my card!

For the background, I used a sponge dauber and sponged on Smoky Slate ink for a winter sky background.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Star of Light
Ink - Smoky Slate, Basic Gray
Paper - Brushed Silver, Whisper White
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Snowfall dies, glue dots, sponge daubers, silver thread (non-SU), Wink of Stella

Seasonal Snowfall

I saw this idea on Pinterest where you place strips of colored cardstock for the background, and place die-cut pieces in the front. So, had to create one for my Christmas Card collection of cards!

I added a touch of Wink of Stella on all the snowflakes to make them sparkle (too bad you can't see it from the photo I took).

Thanks for dropping by!

Stamp Sets - Seasonal Chums, Star of Light
Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie)

Accessories - Die-cut/Emboss Machine, Seasonal Tags dies, Snowfall dies, Wink of Stella

Glistening Chums

The 'Snow Is Glistening' stamp with the snow flurries was just the added touch it needed to make a good card great!

I used the heat gun to emboss white emboss powder for the stamp image. I colored in the reindeer with Stampin' Blends markers.

Merry Bright

The Christmas tree stamp within the 'Shine Bright' stamp set can be colored however you choose. I used my Stampin' Blends markers and made the poinsettias "ivory" which kinda look pink to me. Non traditional color, but still pretty in an elegant way.

Wildlife Greetings

Just purchased the 'Woodland' embossing folder from Stampin' Up!. I loved the technique used of stamping on the embossing folder and then running it through the Die-Cut/Emboss Machine to emboss. So, I just had to try this for myself.

Now, it did take me a few tries to get the look that I wanted. The first one... the deer was in the middle of the panel. Which, would have been fine, but I wanted it offset a bit. The second try... I miscalculated and the deer ended up on the left-hand side. Ha! I forgot the image is reversed from what I stamped/embossed. Anyway... the third time was the charm.

To achieve this, I stamped the deer image onto the embossing folder. Stamp on the side where the embossed part is indented (not the embossed part being above the folder). Next, place your cardstock where you want the deer to show. Emboss as you would normally. Once done, remove cardstock from folder and sponge (I used Crumb Cake) onto the trees to make them stand out a bit from the background.

Huh! I just realized that I embossed the trees upside down. The tiny branches are going downward instead of upward. Weird, because what I thought of as the bottom... the tree trunks get bigger (which isn't the case in real trees!). Well, I'm happy with the end result! I'm sure no one will realize they're upside down....will they?

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Wildlife Reserve, Good Greetings, Sprinkles of Life
Ink - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Real Red

Swirly Birthday

I liked Sandy Hancock's musical note card.... found on Pinterest. Thanks Sandy for your clever idea! I changed mine up a bit. Instead of circles for the notes, I chose ovals (well, they're actually balloons - I just cut the opening from the balloon bottom. I also added silver glitter paper to make the card not so black and white.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink - Memento
Paper - Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glitter
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Swirly Scribbles dies, Party Punch Trio (balloon), dimensionals, scissors

Your Home

When I saw Melissa's card (right).... it was such a unique way to die-cut, I just had to try one for myself.  As you can see with my card on the left, I changed colors and sentiments to make it my own. Thanks Melissa for your inspiration!

I first stamped the lighthouse onto Whisper White cardstock. Then I die-cut the light house to where the lighthouse meets the ground. Then, I die-cut the circle shape, stopping close to the bottom. I did have to use scissors to cut the circle and lighthouse the rest of the way - as I didn't want to die-cut too much to begin with.

For the sky background, I used sponge daubers with the colors Balmy Blue, Rich Razzleberry and Seaside Spray.  Then, I coated the background with Wink of Stella to add the shimmer before stamping the seabirds.

Thanks so much fro dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Sailing Home, Remembering Your Birthday
Ink - Memento, Rich Razzleberry, Balmy Blue, Seaside Spray
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black, Seaside Spray

I found that the 'Tropical Escape' DSP blends beautifully with the 'Dino Days' stamp set! There is DSP that coordinates with the Dino Days within this catalog, but I opted not to get it this time.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Dino Days
Ink - Memento, Old Olive
Paper - Tropical Escape DSP, Basic Black, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories - glue dots, Basic Black Twine

Growing Blooms

I really like the new 'Bloom & Glow' stamp set. Utilizing the Stampin' Blends markers makes coloring them easy! Although, trying to figure out which colors to combine is a challenge. Just think of the many variations of colors to use on this card!

I went with Purple Posy, Highland Heather, Petal Pink, Real Red and Mossy Meadow.

I stamped the sentiment first on a 3.75"x 5" whisper white cardstock. Then masking the sentiment with a scrap piece of paper.... I stamped the floral spray on the top and bottom of the sentiment. I kept the mask on when I colored the images. I found that the Stampin' Blends do bleed a bit, so it wasn't a crisp line. BUT.... that wasn't a problem for me, as I covered it up with the Real Red Ribbon.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp set - Bloom & Grow
Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Purple Posy, Highland Heather, Petal Pink, Real Red and Mossy Meadow)
Paper - Petal Pink, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories - scrap piece of paper, Real Red Solid Ribbon

Wonderful Points

I received some beautiful stamps from my neighbor. They are Stampendous brand stamps. Rose Points and Leaf Trio Points pictured here... along with my Stampin' Up products, makes a lovely card for my Aunt.

As this is a December card, I went with non-traditional colors for the flower... I used Stampin' Blends to color the Rose (Pretty Peacock and Pool Party) and the Leaves (Crumb Cake).

I used the Bottles and Bubbles dies to create the banner, along with the 'Wonderful Moments' stamp set for the sentiment (As the stamp is linear -- all in one line --, I stamped it twice to get the sentiment to be stacked as it is here).

Thanks for dropping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Wonderful Moments, Rose Points (Stampendous Stamps), Leaf Trio Points (Stampendous Stamps)
Ink - Memento, Pretty Peacock, Stampin' Blends (Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake)
Paper - Whisper White (thick), Pretty Peacock, Crumb Cake
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Bottles and Bubbles dies, Layered Leaves embossing folder, Whisper White Organdy Ribbon

Painted Thanksgiving

When I saw Paula Dobson's card... I just knew it would be prefect for my Thanksgiving cards for my family! I love this 'Painted Harvest' stamp set! It's a double stamp... where you ink and stamp one color and then with another stamp, ink and stamp that one over top to create a detailed design. I decided to create a few variations of color for my sunflower. Here are the color combos: Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango; Rococo Rose and Merry Merlot; and Daffodil Delight and Peekaboo Peach for the flowers. For the leaves, I used Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. The middle of each flower is inked with Soft Suede. The flowers in the forefront were all cut out using scissors.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

2019 Veterans Day

On this special day, we Thank all Veterans who have served/are serving this great country! My husband and I did not serve, but we have family members who have, and we'd like to show our gratitude for the sacrifices that they have made for us to enjoy the freedoms that we share.

I designed the focal piece within my digital software, and printed it out on Whisper White cardstock.

For the background piece, I decided to create my own embossed background using the 'Stitched Star' dies. To do this, you need your star dies, a piece of cardstock (in my case, Crumb Cake), a Die-Cut/Emboss Machine and Embossing Mats. Create the sandwich within your machine this way: platform, silicone mat, cardstock, dies, Impressions mat.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite digital software
Embellishments - Rockets American Flag (MMS)
Stamp Brush Set - Ink Splatter (SU)
Paper - Night of Navy, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Embossing Mats, Stitched Stars dies, dimensionals, Real Red Solid Ribbon, Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Ribbon

Petal Notions

Not sure who designed the card on the right. I found it on Pinterest, but the image doesn't go to any particular website. So... if this card is yours.... thanks for your inspiration! I really liked the colors and the layout, so I created one for myself.

I used Stampin' Blends markers to color in the image. Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler for the roses, Light Cherry Cobbler and Dark Flirty Flamingo for the rosettes, and Light and Dark Mossy Meadow on the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Petal Palette, Seaside Notions
Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo)
Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Petals and More Dies, glue dots

Bubble Well

I found the card on the right through Pinterest on the blog 'Candles In The Garden'. What a cute and colorful card. Now, I'm assuming the card base is bigger than mine (4.25"x5.5") because I used the small die for the bottle and it still went over the edge of my card.

I stamped the black label on each bottle by using a template with the Stamparatus, and just inserting the different colored bottles within the template to stamp the label. Perfect alignment on each! I used a circle die as a guide to make sure the bottles aligned in a circle too.

Thanks so much for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Bubble Over, Well Said
Ink - Memento
Paper - Melon Mambo, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Seaside Spray, Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Foil
