2016 Calendar

I have finally compiled all the pages that I would like to showcase for my 2016 calendar.  These are all the things we did throughout the 2015 year.  I created the calendar in My Memories Suite, and had them print it as well.

Here are many of the pages you have already seen -- but wanted to showcase them all here for you to see.
Enjoy!

Thanks for a wonderful 2015!
Many Blessings in 2016!

Subway Art Christmas

I cannot take credit for the subway art... it was a downloadable printable from the Blog 'Eighteen25'. You may view their blog here: http://eighteen25.com/2012/11/subway-art-new-colors/

I printed the subway art on Whisper White cardstock and then attached it to Basic Gray. The red closely matched with the color Poppy Parade (which is now retired), so I used that as the base. I then finished my card with the white ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Gray, Poppy Parade
Accessories - White Organza Ribbon, printer, subway art

Snowy Wishes

Here is my card based on a card that I found in the Cardmaker magazine. My card doesn't have all the frills that the magazine one does.... but it was designed using this card here:

I created the sentiment piece in my digital software... My Memories Suite and printed it out on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I designed the rest of my card the traditional way (instead of digital).

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Endless Wishes
Ink - Night of Navy
Paper - Whisper White, Night of Navy
Accessories - My Memories Suite software, Navy Satin Ribbin, glue dots

Snowman Moneyholder

I needed a money holder and thought to create a cute snowman out of it.

Taking a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I cut it to 8.25" by 7". Next, I scored it on the 3" and 6" mark. To create the circles, I used the Two-Step Owl punch. For the carrot nose, I used the Flower Fair Framelits and just cut out a petal in the shape of a carrot. Cute!

I closed the moneyholder by wrapping it with the Ruby Red ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories - glue, Ruby Red Ribbon, Two-Step Owl Punch

Merry Pearls

I just think this card is so very elegant! I cannot take credit for this card either, as I found Kylie's card on Pinterest and just had create one of my own.

Here is Kylie's card:

I used the Balloon Framelit to set my pearls to make sure it was circular.  I used my tweezers to place each individual pearl... it took a lot of time and I'm sure I lost of few in the process. Haha (that's what vacuums are for - right?) But... I know I will only create one card like this -- those pearls aren't cheap! BUT... I fell in love with Kylie's. Just Beautiful!

I white embossed the sentiment on Night of Navy cardstock, then added my pearls using the balloon framelit as my template. Next was adding the ribbon - silver for the "string" and white for the bow. The center of the bow did look a bit plain, but I didn't have bells to place there.  I instead used some Frosted Finishes Embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Many Merry Messages
Ink - Versamark
Paper - Night of Navy
Accessories - Basic Pearls, White Organza Ribbon, Silver Ribbon, Frosted Finishes, glue dots, tweezers, Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder

Lovely Wishes

I needed a moneyholder for my adult niece for Christmas.  I saw a similar layout on Pinterest, so wanted to use the same layout... with my own stamps and supplies. Sponging is not my strong suit, but wanted to create a winter scene with what I had. I used a mask to space out my snow mounds, and then I stamped the tree from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I think I did okay with the shading, but... I know with practice I could do better.

I know my niece will like it anyway... it's green - her favorite color!

I cut my 8.5x11 paper to 8.25x 7.  I then scored along the 3" and then 6" marks to get the moneyholder size.

Thanks for looking.

Supplies Used:
Stamp sets - Lovely As A Tree, Watercolor Wishes
Ink - Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, Smoky Slate, Illuminate
Paper - Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Accessories - Dazzling Details, Smooch Illuminate, Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin Ribbon, glue dots, sponge daubers, Ovals Framelits, Big Shot, Northern Flurry TIEF

Good Tree

I needed a quick Christmas Card for a wonderful friend (of my Mom's) who sent me a Christmas card for the first time. She has been a great listener and friend to me ever since my Mom passed away (Feb 2014). I was so touched that she thought of me (and my husband) this Christmas.

So... looking through all my lovely creations over the years... I CASED a card using the stamp set Lovely As A Tree -- one of my favorites! The original card was done with Soft Suede and White cardstock.... so I changed it a bit, using Blackberry Bliss. It is as beautiful as my original ... but also unique with the Blackberry color.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Lovely As A Tree, Good Greetings
Paper - Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White
Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Versamark
Accessories - Big Shot, Northern Flurry TIEF, Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder, Blackberry Bliss Satin Stitched Ribbon

Lovely Greetings

I LOVE how this card came out.  Although, I cannot take credit for this... when I saw Heather Telford's card, I just had to try and create one of my own.

Here is her lovely card:

Now, I will try and explain how I created this wonderful card. I used the masking technique. So, starting with the background... I masked off where I wanted the snow to start. Then, I stamped the tree stamp and then sponged Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder and Rich Razzleberry all over the background. I removed the mask... and re-positioned it down a bit. Now I stamped the big tree. Next, I only used Wisteria Wonder on the snow drifts shading in more toward the masked edge than up. Now... re-position the mask again downward... and sponge with Wisteria Wonder again. Last step was to sponge Illuminating Ink all over the background and snow drifts to bring a little sparkle to the scene. And you're done!

I saw Sheila Oliver's snowman punch art on Pinterest -- and just had to make one of my own.
Here is her card:

Thanks Shelia for your inspiration.

To create my snowman, I used a circle, cut in half for his head. For his carrot nose, I used one of the Flower Fair Framelits and cut one of the petals to resemble a nose. Next, I used the Two-Step Owl Punch for his eyes.

Here are their photos and their links to their sites:

Little Celebration Balloons

My little brother is turning 30!!!! His wife decided to have a "Lego of your Youth" party... featuring Legos.

Now, I originally felt that I wanted to create a card using the Lego stamp (Boys Will Be Boys stamp set), but I wanted his card to have the number 30 on it somewhere (with the Little Numbers Thinlits).  So, I decided to go with the Celebrate Today stamp set with the Balloon Framelits.  I figured I would use the colors of blue, red and yellow (along with Black) to incorporate the primary colors of Legos! Ha!

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Celebrate Today
Ink - Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Memento
Paper - Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Chevron TIEF, Balloons Framelits, Little Numbers Thinlits, Baker's Twine (White), dimensionals.

Sprinkles of Sea

This card took a while to come together.  I knew I wanted the lighthouse in the oval with the sponged sunset in the background, but that was about as far as I got.  I masked the lighthouse before sponging on the yellow and orange. Then, I removed the mask and colored in the lighthouse light in yellow and the lighthouse in gray.

I decided to have the background piece mimic the lighthouse stripes with the Irresistibly Yours DSP. I first tried to use Black Staz-on with my brayer to color in the stripes... OOPS! The extra color did not come off...and now my brayer was yucky too. Ugh!  Luckily, I had the Staz-on Cleaner... worked like a champ.  I got another piece of the Irresistibly Yours DSP and colored the black with my Memento Ink with the brayer.... whew!

I like the flag sentiment, as it reminds me of sailing. Goes perfectly with the lighthouse image (in my opinion).

Thanks for stopping by!

Ink - Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Memento, Smoky Slate

Happy Leaves

I was inspired by Stephanie Wincott's card with the soft colors of the leaves with the bold black sentiment, so with the supplies I had... I tried to create a card that was similar to her's.
Here are Stephanie's cards:

Thanks Stephanie for your inspiration!

I chose the colors very similar to her's - Smoky Slate and Pear Pizzazz.  I did notice that the Pear color was a bit too dark, so I stamped off once and then stamped again on my Whisper White card (gives the color a softer feel). The Slate is direct to paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Vintage Leaves, Happy Birthday Everyone
Ink - Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate, Black Staz-on
Paper - Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Whisper White
