I'm glad I purchased the 'Brewed For You' stamp set and it's coordinating dies, as I realize I have many family members that love to drink beer! LOL! It's a very versatile set, so I will make great use out of it!

I used a retired background DSP (Designer Series Paper). It's called 'Painted Autumn'. I color and pattern remind me of beer in a glass. Cool!

I added a Wink of Stella to the foam on top of the beer.

Halloween Witches

 

My nieces, 3years and 6 months, will be celebrating Halloween in style. The new 'Best Witches' stamp set was so adorable... I just knew I had to create some cards for them. The stamped witches kinda resemble my nieces, as one has curly hair and one has straight hair. Eleanor and Emily will get a kick outta this card for sure!

Artistic Witch

 

Such a cute set to use for Halloween. Most of my nieces and nephews are adults now, but a few are still little (3 years, 8 months and 6 months). I wanted to create 3 different ones, so come back again to see the others.

I used the Perfectly Artistic DSP for the background.... almost looks like a boiling vat of sludge. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the paper to make it shine (looks like you can't see it in the photo).

My niece used to volunteer at a Wolf Sanctuary... she fell in love with the animals there. I wanted to incorporate this stamp from the 'Wildlife Wonder' set. I do have to say that the card seems more masculine to me instead of feminine, but I'm sure she won't mind!

Gorgeous Palms

I fell in love with Kim's creation, and knew I just had to create one for my husband for our anniversary! Now, I know Kim (and others found on Pinterest) have used the window sheets to create this effect. I did not have any window sheets, so I needed to eyeball it as much as I could (now, I know what to order on my next Stampin' Up list!). Such a cool effect! I love it!

The 'sand' is from the 'Daffodil Daydream' stamp set.

The birds and 'water' are from the 'High Tide' stamp set.

It was hard to create this card. Not sure if it was because I've been away from crafting or because I just couldn't get the color combo to work for me. I finally fell upon the Saraha Sand/Blackberry Bliss/Evening Evergreen combo. Looks stunning together... almost looks like a masculine color, but works for feminine as well.

Another great masculine card that I found online... this one from Chris Long. I wanted to create one of my own, but wanted the background blue instead of the brown in theirs. Now I know why they chose brown... I had to use my Stampin' Blends marker (Soft Suede) to color in the spots that left blue through the bear. I think it turned out good!

Nature's Friend

 

When I saw Terri Gaines' cards... I just knew I had to to create one of my own. I changed a few things to make it my own, but drew inspiration from Terri's cards! Thanks Terri!

The background is the 'Fern' 3D embossing folder... as well as, the Layering Squares dies.

The stamps are all from 'Nature's Prints except for the sentiment. That one is from the 'Friendly Hello' set.

I used Crushed Curry/Black and White on this card, however, I did color in the flowers using the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends markers. I added a 'Wink of Stella' too to the flowers to make them shine.

I ran a stylus on the back of the die too (for the sentiment) to make it 'pop' more.

My sister and her husband are celebrating their anniversary. I wanted a simple, yet elegant card. Not sure I fit the bill on simple... as it did take me a long time to design this card, but it's elegant (in my opinion).

I used the 'Natural Prints' dies for the background leaf design and the sentiment.

The sentiment itself is from the 'Beautiful Bouquet' stamp set.

The heart-shaped dies are from the 'Be Mine Stitched' dies.

Wink of Stella is on the heart to make it shine.

World Greetings

 

The 'Wonderful World' stamp set includes 3 flowers and 2 leaf stamps. At first, I was a bit daunted by how to utilize them on a card, as the flowers are all one piece (flowers and stems). I chose to ink the whole flower with one color and use the leaf stamp with a different color. If you look closely at the bottom of the picture you can see how I overlapped the stamps. I used ribbon to hide the imperfections, as I would call them (not necessarily bad).

I used the Rings of Love DSP (Designer Series Paper) and picked up the colors within the paper to determine what color the flower will be. However, the paper said Night of Navy, but I used Starry Sky.

I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the petals to make them shine.

Upon coloring the ducks, I followed Katie's color choice on the mallard's head... who knew Bermuda Bay was the perfect color! Thanks Katie! I used Crumb Cake/Soft Suede/Daffodil Delight on the Momma duck and Bermuda Bay/Soft Suede/Crumb Cake/Daffodil Delight/Gray Granite on the Poppa duck. The grass is colored with Old Olive.

Pomegranate Greetings

 

Working with the new Sale-A-Bration stamp set 'Perfect Pomegranate' today. It was a bit unnerving, as I changed my mind on the direction the card was going to go. But... that's the beauty in creating.... you just let it lead you where you need to go.

I like the soft look the dis-ink-tive stamps provide, giving the images depth without too much work. I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flowers... although, it did make the Blackberry Bliss bleed more than it should.

Catching Friends

 

This card has loads of layers and it was so cute to put together. My niece loves her kitty, so each year I try to incorporate a cat on her card. Now, her cat is black and white, but her name is peaches.... so I chose to make my cat brown. (wink).

I didn't start out using this color combo... I knew I wanted to color the cat brown and the water blue... it just fit that the fish would be orange. Well in this case: Mango Melody/Pool Party and Crumb Cake.

I used 2 of the new Designer Series Paper from this years catalog. I believe I'll be using them a lot!

Wonderful Succulent

I saw a card on Pinterest using the 'Potted Succulent' dies. It was such a unique card I wanted to try my hand at it. The colors she used were white/pale Papaya... but I wanted to use Soft Succulent/white.

I first tried it without the embossed background piece... trust me... that embossed piece makes a difference. Although, I didn't have the petal embossing folder that she used, I used my trusty 'Layered Leaves' embossing folder and it worked just fine.
