Coney Island

 

I try and create a card that reminds me of the person I'm giving the card to. So, for my Nephew-in-law... his passion is RollerCoasters. Now, I don't have a rollercoaster stamp, so it's off to the computer to look for free clip art. I found this cute Amusement Park (Coney Island) online through PNGWing. I printed it out on Basic White cardstock and finished it the traditional way.

I cannot take credit for this lovely card I made. The credit goes to Terri Gaines... what a fantastic way to utilize the 'Trusty Toolbox' DSP (Designer Series Paper). I love that the coordinating dies from the 'Trusty Tools' stamp set can be used on the 'Trusty Toolbox' DSP too! FUN! and so easy to create this card.

The DSP looks like a toolbox, so I (and Terri too) just used my Stampin' Trimmer to make a slit along the gray/red border... I kept the sides intact so I could adhere them to the background piece.

I just fell in love with Alisa Tilsner's card... I just had to create one of my own. Now, I did make this card my own by using more die-cuts and background pieces than Alisa did. I may just create one exactly like Alisa's in the future - it's so pretty with the white background.... leaves the flowers the focal point for sure. Thanks Alisa for your inspiration!

I chose to use the color combo - Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie and Calypso Coral on the petals and Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green on the leaves for the masks. I added a Wink of Stella to the petals.

Peaceful Journey

 

These cards are never easy to create when they are needed. When I received the new 'Thoughtful Journey" DSP (Designer Series Paper) I wasn't sure how to use them. Well, upon looking at some of the images... I felt this one was perfect for a sympathy card for my Best Friend (her Uncle passed away).

All I needed was a sympathy stamp! With that complete... the card was complete!

Rainbow Bailey

 

So sad to need to create a card for the passing of a family pet. This one hit hard for me, as Bailey was a wonderful dog to all she came in contact with. My best friend will miss her very much. I'm blessed that I got to see her all the times I've visited my Best Friend. Rest now Bailey... you're in good hands!

I wanted to create a card using the theme with a rainbow... "going over the rainbow bridge".

I designed this within My Memories Suite digital software. I added the pawprints to the rainbow and found the perfect sentiment.

My sister-in-law loves purple, so I chose a deep blackberry (Blackberry Bliss) for her and her husband's anniversary card. He is color-challenged, so he only see shades of gray, black and white.

Baseball Birthday

 

My Godson loves baseball, so for his birthday I wanted to incorporate that into his card. I found a free clip art of a baseball online through RawPixel. Thanks so much for the free clip art! I designed this DSP - Designer Series Paper of baseballs within My Memories Suite and printed it out on Basic White cardstock. Finished my card using stamps from the 'Celebrating You' stamp set.

I printed out the graduation cap from My Memories Suite onto Basic White cardstock and finished the card the usual way. Not sure if you can see the Chevron embossing folder on the bottom Basic Black piece.

Such cute cards made with the 'Paradise Palms' stamp set and it's coordinating dies... I chose the 'Midnight' skyview. I really love how those side panels turned out with the dies on each side! In the photo... I'm sure it's DSP (Designer Series Paper) and not a die.

I used the small blender brush to achieve the effect of the sky on the card. I used Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia.
