Woodgrain Blossoms

I wanted to create a card using my new stamp set 'Birthday Blossoms'.  And how appropriate it is for my Aunt's birthday!
I embossed the top and bottom of my white paper before stamping the sentiment in-between. Not sure if you can see it in my photo, though.
At first I stamped each flower with the corresponding ink that went with the paper, but thought the flowers didn't really 'pop' off the paper.  So, I finally stamped them all in Early Espresso to make the definition stand out.
I punch each flower out using the pansy punch and cut each leaf with scissors.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Your card is lovely and special! I LOVE your embossing treatment, or, should I say, the void in your embossing treatment; ha! Beautiful card; TFS!

  2. Thanks so much Donna! It was a bit tricky to get the "void" in the embossed background. =)
