Special Camellia

 

My friends and neighbors have suffered so much loss in the past 2 years... they are really having a rough time with many family members passing away. With this passing, my friend is now the only sibling left of 10 children. I'm sure it's gotta be hard knowing that you are the only sibling left. I know they both know that all their siblings are in heaven and they will meet again someday!

I chose the 'Calming Camellia' stamp set, as it has a soft flower effect when stamped in Gray Granite. I added 'Wink of Stella' to the petals to make them sparkle. (Sorry you can't appreciate the effect with my photography skills)

Bloom Gorgeous

 

My niece loves the color pink... as I do too, I wanted to incorporate the 'Polished Pink' cardstock. So, I went with the Pink/Black/White color combo. Classic and Beautiful. The sentiment is from the 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous' stamp set and the flowers are from the 'Flowering Blooms' stamp set.  The designer series paper I used is called 'True Love'. 

I colored the image in using Stampin' Blends (Polished Pink) and added 'Wink of Stella' to make the petals shine.  I also used a stylus to make the die cut shapes pop.

Conversations Meant

 

I loved the simplicity of the look of the blue/white combo for a masculine Valentine card that I saw on 'Nigezza Creates' card found on Pinterest.  I decided to create one of my own just using the Basic White and Night of Navy combo. Thanks for your inspiration Nigezza!

I used both the 'Sweet Conversations' and the 'Meant to Be' stamp sets on my card.... along with the 'Be Mine Stitched' and 'Sweet Hearts' coordinating dies. The background piece is the 'Stone' embossing folder.

Sweet Valentine

 

I fell in love with Leah Fedynak's card on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team's facebook post. I decided to try my hand at making one of my own, but changing it up a bit to call it my own. WOW... putting all those hearts together was a feat! LOL! I decided to keep the outline of the row of hearts on each, but changed the color to give it some contrast.

Calendar 2022

Our 2022 Calendar showcases the things we did in 2021. We didn't do a whole lot...as the pandemic was still making things difficult, but Mike and I found wonderful things to do, places to see and people to visit. 

January - We rented a cabin in Salt Fork State Park (in Lore City, OH) in Feb 2021 for a few days.

February - We enjoyed a boat ride on Hinckley Lake in July 2021 and the flowers were just blooming everywhere.

March - My twin and I celebrated our 50th birthday together in March. Our best friend also celebrated her 50th.

April - More pictures from our boat rental on Hinckley Lake in July 2021

May - Our family rented a cabin in Hocking Hills, OH in July 2021 for a few days.

June - We went to the Frog Jump Festival in Valley City, OH in July 2021.

July - We picked blueberries at Martin's Blueberries Farm in Columbia Station, OH in July 2021.

August - We saw the sunflowers at Lampshear's in Medina, OH in August 2021.

September - We flew to CA to visit with Mike's parents at their retirement home, and spend time with his side of the family.

October - We picked grapes and made Grape Jelly in September 2021 at my Dad's house.

November - We hiked the trails at Plum Creek Park in September 2021.

December - We hiked the trails at Buckeye Woods Park in October 2021.

Grand Bentley Lodge Trip

 

Mike and I took a trip to Hocking Hills, OH with a few family members in July 2021. We rented a Lodge for a few days and spent time horse riding, zip-lining, grilling and just hanging out. This Lodge was not the best we've been to (not enough outdoor space to play... mostly gravel; pool was very cold; Not enough deck space for all family to fit), but we made the best of our stay.

I created this album in My Memories Suite, and kept each page uniform by using the same background and embellishments.
