Oklahoma City Zoo
Creating a two-page spread for our trip to the Oklahoma City Zoo, while we were in Norman, OK in July 2010.
A few things to note on these pages.... I used the rounded corner feature on the photos and cropped the taffeta rippled ribbon (so I could make the ripple go the length of the page).
Thanks for looking!

Created another spread for my 2010 scrapbook. <---Still a lot to scrapbook, but the more pages I do...the closer I am to the end! = )
This two-page spread didn't follow any challenges this time ... just had my own layout in mind.

Little River Zoo - DGSC090
Working on my scrapbook (July 2010), and trying to catch up on some challenges on Splitcoaststampers. This challenge DGSC090 - Recipe for Holiday Ads was to create a page like the Ad above, using these these features:
- Your choice of colors and theme!
- Try to use five photos (but you can use less/more if you want.)
- Give your page an old fashioned or vintage look.
- Your journaling block is on the left side.
- Begin your Title with a flourish behind just one letter
- Add a background layer that is even with your journaling block & title at the top.
- Add second journaling block that goes across the bottom to the right side
- Finish the lower right corner of your page with a fancy embellishment accent.
Not sure how I did with the old-fashioned/vintage look, but I think I got everything else! =)

Space Center - DGSC089
Continuing with my 2010 scrapbook.....I will get this finished.....eventually! HA! I would really like to get this finished by the end of the year, but not sure that it's a possibility.... I'm still working on June 2010! I am plugging away though, and My Digital Studio makes it so much easier to design the pages.
In June 2010, we were in Houston, so on one weekend day....we took a drive to the Space Center in Houston. It was such an amazing place, so fantastic to see all the rockets and artifacts on display.
I used the Splitcoaststampers Digi-Scrap Challenge - Going in Circles DGSC089 for these pages (using circles).
On the design level, I used the overlay (Vintage Overlay #11), and while I was designing it -- it looks a bit different on the page than it does when transported as a .jpg file. It kinda looks more like space in the background now that's it's a .jpg file. I hope when it's printed it will look like this! =)

MDS Christmas Cards 2012
I created our Christmas Cards for this year in My Digital Studio. It was very easy to just create one card and have them professionally printed by Stampin Up! (since I needed 70 cards).
All I can say is WOW! Fabulous! I'm really happy with the results. Thanks to My Digital Studio and Stampin' Up.... I am ready for the Christmas season! =)
I used the tri-fold card template in My Digital Studio. It measures 3.5x5 (folded) and 3.5x15 (unfolded). The ability to design both sides of the tri-fold card was what drew me to this card type, as I could place a photo and journaling, as a message of Christmas on the cards.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!
Stamp Brush Sets - Autumn Harvest (branch - Always Artichoke), All Holidays (words - Early Espresso and Real Red), Delightful Dozen (words - Early Espresso and Real Red), Tree Trimmings (ornament - Always Artichoke)
Embellishments - Tree Trimmings (ornaments -one is re-colored Always Artichoke), Taffeta Ribbon (Real Red)
Paper - Textured Cardstock (Very Vanilla)
Punch - Square (rounded)
Font - Adorable (Always Artichoke and Real Red)

I've wanted to try my hand at two projects that I've seen on the Stampin' Connection website from two very talented crafters.
The first is from Cristena Bagne and her box tutorial. I used most of her dimensions, but I shortened mine to 6" in height instead of 8.5". Her tutorial can be found here: http://gettincraftyclasses.ning.com/forum/topics/summer-time-gift-box-preview-video-5
The second is from Erin Mise and her Ornamental Rose tutorial. Her tutorial can be found here: http://www.shescraftycrew45.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Happy in Yellow
I saw a design in the PaperCrafts Card Creations vol. 10 magazine (different fonts, colors and ribbon), so I can't take total credit for this design.
I first tried to attempt this using stamps with my stamp-a-ma-jig. Let's just say, it didn't work out so well (I'm a perfectionist, so the repeated word 'happy' wasn't as straight as I would like).
I used My Digital Studio to create the front panel. Using the 'Days in December' stamp brush set 'Happy Holidays' (but cropped it so only 'Happy' was shown). I then copied and pasted it (5 in a row, top justified, and spaced evenly horizontally). Once the first row was completed, I grouped the row together and then just copied and pasted each row (staggering the words). Afterward, I spaced evenly vertically. I selected one 'Happy' and changed the color to Daffodil Delight.
I then added a text box for the word 'Birthday' (I used the Civilian font).
I printed the panel on Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp Brush Set - Days in December (word 'Happy' in Sahara Sand and Daffodil Delight)
Paper - Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Daffodil Delight
Ink - Sahara Sand, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black (all in MDS)

Eagle Coasters
I created some coasters for my brother, Dave, for his home.
I purchased the tiles from Home Depot (the packages come with 9 tiles, choice of white or beige). Then, sprayed them with Krylon Fixatif, so the stone would not absorb the ink. Once dry, I stamped the images with Timber Brown Staz-on ink. When the ink was dry, I sprayed the fixatif over the surface again. I placed 4 felt pads on the bottom of the tiles, so they wouldn't scratch any surfaces that they were placed on.
Stamp Sets - Lovely As A Tree, Wildlife Reserve
Ink - Timber Brown Staz-on
Accessories - Workable Fixatif (Krylon)
