Rainbow State - MDSM103

Playing along with the MDS Monday Blog Challenge (MDSM103), with Yapha's and Tami's great sketch.  I had these beautiful photos of Hawaiian rainbow's that I wanted to scrap, and their sketch really provided a great layout! Thanks Yapha and Tami!

At first I started out with a yellow/blue background, but that didn't draw out my photos at all. Then, a lightbulb went off... why not use Red, Orange, Yellow (and the photo provides the Green, Blue and sort of Purple. LOL!).  I finished off my page with Sunshine and Sprinkles embellishments, as well as Marina Mist ribbon and brads.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Background - Real Red
Punch - Square (filled w/Pumpkin Pie DSP, Daffodil Delight Textured Cardstock)
Embellishments - Sunshine and Sprinkles (sun and rainbow); Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (Marina Mist); Flower Brads (Marina Mist)
Font - Respective and Arial Black (Whisper White)

  1. Gorgeous, gorgeous page Diane! Love the rainbow pictures. And, I really love the way you created your background - it looks embossed! Very pretty. I guess I need to take a look at the Patterns DSP a little closer:) Thanks so much for joining us this week at MDS Monday.

    1. Thanks so much Tami! Lol... I hardly use the Playful Patterns DSP, so I thought here was a good chance to use one -- It was perfect for this page (IMHO). =)
