Card Holder Tutorial

I created this lovely Card Holder for my Mom.  The notecards are blank inside, so they can be used for any occasion.  I found this wonderful tutorial for the card holder on pinterest -- Jill's Card Creations Blog.  You may view it here: http://jill031070.blogspot.com/2012/03/edgelit-cards-tote-free-tutorial.html  Thanks Jill!

I created 5 cards and envelopes (4.25 x 5.5) to go inside, although.... I believe 10 would fit fine too.

Thanks for looking!

To create the card holder:

To make the cover: Cut two pieces 8.5 x 5.5 cardstock.  Score one short side at 1 inch, and then trim the other short side using the Adorning Accents Edgelit (Emboss with the Adorning Accents TIEF).  Adhere the two pieces together by overlapping the 1 inch scored sections.

To create the box: Cut two pieces 6 x 6.75 cardstock.  With the short side at the top of the scoring tool, score at 1 inch, turn piece and score at 1 inch and 5.75 inch. Repeat with second piece.  Adhere together to form a box.

Decorate the cover before adhering the box piece. Attach bottom of box in-between the scored sections of the cover.

Supplies Used:

Stamp set - Stippled Blossoms
Paper - Tangerine Tango, Naturals Ivory
Ink - Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
Accessories - Simply Scrappin' Kit (retired - Old Olive sticker strips), Simply Scored, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Adorning Accents TIEF, stamp-a-ma-jig, Crochet Trim Victoria, Hole Punch
