Wedding Invitations

When my little brother and his fiance got engaged, they asked me to design their wedding invitations. I was a little apprehensive at first....Can I create an invitation that they would love? Would it look professional enough? Do I have time to make them?

Then I thought.... I have My Digital Studio....of course I can create an invitation that they would love! They definitely will look professional! AND.... I can design one.... and have them printed professionally by Stampin' Up! Wonderful!

I started designing the very night they asked me.  Within a few days, I had around 20 different invitations for them to choose from. All of them were designed with the color scheme of Black/Vanilla or Black/White.... this way, they could choose the design first, and we can work on colors later.
Here are the three designs they liked the best:

With the designs that they chose, I was able to step it up with adding color and more detail. Here is what I designed:

They were very pleased with all of these invitation designs, and it was difficult for them to choose which one they liked the best. They decided on the Winter Post Navy/White since their wedding will be in December.

I wanted the happy couple to view and make any necessary changes to the wedding invitation, so I printed one on my home computer.

After printing the invitation, I added rhinestones to the middle of each snowflake. The reception, hotel and gift registry information was printed on the inside of the invitation card.  I, then, designed an RSVP card to go along with the invitation. I completed the sample wedding invitation with the White Organza Ribbon and white envelopes.

Here is the final project:
My brother and his fiance were thrilled with the final printed project, and couldn't wait to show it to friends and family.

  1. Awesome job on the invites/designing. I did my daughter's wedding stuff last May - without MDS - and goodness, was that ever time-consuming. I've had other requests, but so far, have declined. Seems to build a case for purchasing MDS, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing. I'm following you now.

  3. Very pretty! Those are some simple and elegant designs. My sister is getting married in few months in a very beautiful LA venue. I am thinking of getting invitation cards from you. Can you provide a little more information as to where I can contact you?
