Watercolor Marlin
This masculine card came together so easily... I was so happy with the results! (I usually struggle making masculine cards). I started by using a card base from the Watercolor Wishes Kit. Then, I stamped the marlin on to white cardstock and die-cut it with the Deco Labels Framelits. After coloring in the marlin with the Marina Mist marker and my blender pen... I matted the piece with Marina Mist cardstock. I used dimensionals to 'pop' the piece on the card base.
Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Set - From Land to Sea, Sprinkles of Life
Ink - Marina Mist, Black Staz-on

Prayerful Occasions
My nephew is going to have heart surgery. His heart rate is too high, so they want to do a heart ablation to correct it. Scary to think about... as my nephew is 19.
As I was thinking about what I wanted to do with his card... I knew I wanted a heart on it plus bandages. Most of my hearts are small punches... I felt that using the negative space from the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits would be a perfect fit for a teenager -- kinda edgy and hip.
I used a retired stamp for the bandaids and the square lattice TIEF, which is also retired.
Thanks for taking a peek!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Patterned Occasions, Thoughts & Prayers
Ink - Memento
Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Accessories - Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits, Square Lattice TIEF, Big Shot, glue dots

Sprinkles of Blooms
I saw Kaitlyn Zumbach's card on Pinterest (her's is on the right)... I had to try one of my own with the supplies I had. As you can see, I changed many things on my card from what Kaitlyn did, but the general layout is the same. Thanks Kaitlyn!
I used the leaves stamp in the 'Number of Years' stamp set... and the tiny flower in the 'Bloomin' Love' stamp set.
Thanks for taking a look!

CuTe Elements
Our nephew, Samuel, is fascinated with the periodic table and the elements. So, what better birthday card is there than to use the elements?
I actually saw a hand-drawn card on Pinterest and felt that I could create one using my digital software.
Thanks for looking!
Supplies Used

Font - Arial and Aharoni (Black, Brown and Gray)

Love this dinosaur set! I know my nephew will love this card too! I usually use more than one stamp set on a card, so I was thrilled to see that I could just use this one stamp set to complete this wonderful card!

Lagoon Meadow
Okay, so I saw the pink and brown cards on Pinterest... not sure who created them...as there is no link to their website. I wanted to try my hand at creating one of them with a blue card base instead of pink.
I used my watercolor crayons to color in the mountains and trees (Black, Gray and White). I then masked out a moon and sponged black ink on the background.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Garden Wonder
Happy Mother's Day! My Mom passed away 2 years ago, and she loved roses. In memory of her -- and for "other" Mom's in my life (my Husband's Mom, my Godmother, my Grandma and Mike's second Mom) these are for you!
I used the Rose Garden Thinlits to cut out the black rose outline in the center of the black cardstock. I had a bit of trouble running the thinlit through my Big Shot...as it didn't cut parts of the paper. I used the Precision Plate the second time around.... and that helped some, but it still wasn't cutting all of it. So, I finally placed another sheet of paper (shim) on top of the die...and it cut just fine from there on out. Third time was the charm! ;)
Behind the cut out flower I used different papers from the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration (SAB) Catalog.

Wonder Gardens
I've been trying to utilize my pack of Botanical Gardens DSP (Designer Series Paper), and I'm so glad I decided to play with it. I felt this paper (in particular) was very masculine, so wanted to create a card for our Uncle. Pairing it with the Cajun Craze cardstock... was perfect! I did fiddle with the card base color, but kept coming back to black. Hope it doesn't look too dark of a card.
I used the Deco Labels Framelits to die-cut the sentiment.
Thanks for taking a look!

Wonderful Roses
I've seen so many cards with this fabulous layout that I wanted to try my hand at making a few.
I will give credit to the first person whose cards I fell in love with -- although, I'm sure there are many many designers that have made this lovely layout.
Here are Melanie Smith's cards:
Such a beautiful display! Thanks for your inspiration Melanie!

Purple Rose
My husband and I are participating in the PurpleStride2016 Walk on June 11th -- we are helping to raise money (and awareness) for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Most people know that we care deeply for this cause, as my mother passed away from this disease in February 2014.
I wanted to create some thank-you cards for the people that have donated to our page. When I found Lou Kitzelman's card on Pinterest.... I knew that I had to create something similar. I wanted to use the color of purple.... as that is the color for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness, and roses are my mother's favorite flower. Thanks Lou!
This card was a bit harder than I thought it would be. I started by cutting the base 5.5x4.25 in Elegant Eggplant, and then die-cutting the rose piece in that same color. (I did not adhere the die-cut rose piece to the base until after the white piece was finished). I then cut a 5.25x4 in Whisper White. On the White cardstock, I stamped the rose stamp. I used my AquaPainter to color in the rose and leaves.
After matting the White cardstock (elegant eggplant), I laid them together, so that I could place the die-cut rose piece in the correct position when the card is closed. I realized that the back of the card would show the edges of the die-cut piece on the back, so I placed another 5.5x4.25 piece of Eggplant cardstock on the back (hiding it).
I finished the white insert part with eggplant ribbon and the 'Thank You' sentiment.
I know....loads of layers on this card. As you can see from my photo.... I attached a white piece of cardstock on the back of the insert too -- for my note of thanks and where I could sign our names.
Thanks for taking a peek!
