Tasteful Dinos

 

I really loved Mikaela Titheridge's dinosaur card using the 'Dino Days' stamp set and its coordinating 'Dino' dies. I chose a different background as its a winter birthday, and changed the color of the dinosaurs to make something my niece will love (she loves orange).

Journeys Gone

Such lovely cards made by Alejandra Gomez! I just knew I had to make one for myself to give to my Dad's wife who is recovering from surgery.

I chose to use the 'Go To Greetings' stamp set for the sentiment. The background is embossed with the 'Layered Leaves' folder. The papers are from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper.

I fell in love with the 'All About Autumn' Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used it last year and wanted to get some use out of the other papers within the pack. I found this card from Donna Ross on Pinterest. Such a great layout... So, I created something similar with the papers that I had. I needed to make 20, so one pattern wasn't going to work. I love how all of them came out. Thanks for your inspiration Donna!

Veterans Day 2024

 

I went with a "simple" design for this Veterans Day card! Although... there was nothing simple about cutting out all the "stripes" and stars and trying to get them straight. LOL! 

I used the Designer Series Paper from 'Twinkle, Twinkle' DSP.

The sentiment is from the 'Changing Leaves' stamp set.

All the paper was die-cut using the 'Rectangle Stitched' dies. Although, the stars were from the 'Stitched Stars' set (non-SU).

Bubble Brew

 

I really liked how Karen Farquhar used the 'Bubble Over' stamp set in her card! I thought it would be a great card for my nephew who just turned 21!

I chose the colors Shaded Spruce and Pecan Pie as they resembled the color of the beer/cooler bottles out today. (I guess I'm wrong, as wine cooler bottle are clear! ha... I guess these are all beer bottles then!)

Gold Foil paper is used for the caps and mat.

Unbounded Oceanfront

 

I've seen many of these layouts for the 'Oceanfront' stamp set... and loved everyone of them! So, I needed to create one for myself for my nephew.

I chose to use the colors - Lost Lagoon for the water, Pool Party for the sky, Crumb Cake for the sand and Early Espresso for the plant.

The stamp for the sky didn't stamp all the way in the center, BUT... I was okay with it, as I could use that as a sun (or moon) peeking out within the clouds. Perfect!

I added  Wink of Stella to the ocean to make it sparkle.

The sentiment is from the 'Unbounded Love' stamp set and it's stamped in Night of Navy.

Sometimes it's hard to create masculine looking cards, but with the 'All About Autumn' Designer Series Paper it was relatively easy. I great FALL card too!

The leaves are from the 'Autumn Leaves' dies.

I used the Deckled Rectangles dies on the square dies.

About Bones

 

My niece is into dinosaurs (who isn't! lol), so I thought I'd pair the 'Bag of Bones' stamp set with the 'No Bones About It' stamp set. I wish the 'No Bones About It' dinosaur stamps had a coordinating die-cut set, so I could use an embossing folder on the background, but the background looks fine plain too.

I wanted to utilize the 'Thoughtful Journey' DSP (Designer Series Paper) and thought that this sheet reflected an underwater seabed. So, I embossed 'Seashells' unto the front background.

I used the 'Seaside Wishes' coordinating set to create the shells. The "window" is from the 'Garden Gateway' die set.

Now, I did cut a bit off the Layers of Beauty stamped image, so that it would fit on my card with scissors.
