Hoppy Pad

I love how this card came out! I was inspired by two of Narelle Farrugia's cards... which you can see here:

Thanks so much Narelle for your inspiration!

There was a lot of masking to create the scene you see here.
I stamped the frog  (from the 'So Hoppy Together' stamp set) first. Then placing a mask (scrap piece of paper cut out with the exact image of the frog) over the frog, I stamped the lily pad (from the 'Lovely Lily Pad' stamp set) that he is sitting on. I used the same technique for the big and small lotus blossom. I then masked (scrap piece of paper cut out with the exact images) each and every stamped image, and stamped with the 'Artisan Textures' stamp over the background for a water scene.

The sentiment is from the 'Sending You Thoughts' stamp set.

I used several different colors here:
The frog is in Mossy Meadow and So Saffron
The flower Petals are in Purple Posy and Highland Heather. The leaves are Just Jade.
The Lily Pads are Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam.
The textured background is in Pool Party (stamped off once on a scrap piece of paper to make the tone lighter)

I added a Wink of Stella to the flower petals to make them shine.

Thanks for hopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Lovely Lily Pad, Artisan Textures, So Hoppy Together, Sending You Thoughts
Ink - Memento, Pool Party, Stampin' Blends (So Saffron, Mossy Meadow, Just Jade, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, Purple Posy, Highland Heather)

Vibrant Blooms

It took me a long time to create this card. Not sure what my creative block was. I started with a different vase and many stems coming from that vase. I guess less is more - right! LOL

Now, I did add Shimmer Crystal Effects to the vase AFTER I took this photo, so the vase will have a 3D shimmer effect. AND, the flowers all have 'Wink Of Stella' added to them to make them shine.

I used the 'True Love' DSP for the background. Sets the feminine touch just nicely.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Vibrant Vases, Flowering Blooms, Little Ladybug
Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Basic Black, Pineapple Punch, Daffodil Delight)
Paper - Basic White, Pineapple Punch, Basic Black, True Love DSP
Accessories - Wink of Stella, Shimmer Crystal Effects, Stampin' Trimmer, masking w/scrap piece of paper (to get only a portion of the flower stem)

Baseball Banner

My Godson loves anything baseball. I try to incorporate a baseball theme for his birthday each year... and this year is no different. I used My Memories Suite digital software to create this wonderful card for him.

The baseball is actually an image I found online... free clipart. Not sure who to give credit to.... so if it's yours..... please let me know, so I can give you credit! The image was actually a baseball on a white background... so when I went to add a shadow, it showed up as a square. NOT COOL!  The way around that, is to save your image as a paper on your computer (just save the file to your background papers). Then, by adding a circle shape (punch) to your design space... and choosing that image paper to encompass that circle shape. SWEET! Now, I can add shadows to all the baseballs.... and make them however size I need them to be.

The Banner is from Sugarmoon Designs... just changed the color to match my color combo.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite digital software
Embellishments - Baseball (free clipart online); Birthday Mini (banner-Sgrmoon)
Punch - Star (filled w/red and blue), Circle (filled w/Baseball)
Paper - Misty Moonlight, Poppy Parade, Basic White

Waterfront Catch

The 'Waterfront' stamp set is very versatile and helps in making many masculine cards. I wish it wasn't retiring. I paired the stamp set with the 'Evergreen Forest' 3D Embossing Folder.

The trees are stamped using Mossy Meadow and Evening Evergreen. The lighter shade is Evening Evergreen too.... just stamped on a scrap piece of paper and then stamped on the actual paper.

I added Crystal Effects to make the trees shine.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Creating a few masculine cards this month. I used a monochrome color scheme here - Very Vanilla, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. The stamp set used is 'Peaceful Moments' for the sentiment. Groovy Love

Ha! Here's a card that the picture looks so different from what the actual card looks like.  This due to the fact I used the 'Grapefruit Grove' foil sheet to mat the background piece and the sentiment piece, plus the 'Little Numbers' dies. The camera shows the foil as more colorful. Groovy!

The sentiment is the only stamp set used on this card. It's from 'Here's A Card' set. The flowers are actual a Designer Series Paper.... Just cut out with scissors. Yes, those flowers are from the 'True Love' DSP (along with the polka dots paper).

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Set - Here's A Card

I just added the graduation cap embellishment (another free clip art from online).

I paired it with the 'Sprinkled Expressions' Stamp Brush Set from Stampin' Up!.

This was all designed within My Memories Suite digital software.

Thanks for checking in!

Lovely Party

With the 'So Much Love' stamp set there can be endless possibilities as to what color combo to choose from. That, to me, was the issue here. I knew I wanted this layout with the 'True Love' DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. So, the color combo I chose was:
Petal Pink/ Calypso Coral/ Old Olive/ Mossy Meadow

I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flower petal to make them shine.

Graduate Ink

This is a hybrid card. What do I mean by hybrid? Well, part of it is designed with digital software, and part of it is done using traditional stamps, ink and folders.

The focal piece -- with the sentiments and graduation cap are completely done using My Memories Suite digital software. It was then printed on Basic White cardstock. I matted each piece (focal and background in Night of Navy cardstock.

The background piece is embossed using the Layered Leaves folder.

The flowers are from the 'A Touch of Ink' stamp set. There is no coordinating die-cut shape, so I used scissors to cut the images out. The flowers are colored using Stampin' Blends markers (Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Smoky Slate).  The flowers got an added shine with a touch of 'Wink of Stella' on the petals.

I almost forgot my Brother-in-law's birthday. Not sure how I did that as I tend to look at my physical calendar and my iphone calendar to make sure I got everyone within the month that I'm making cards. So... this is a rushed card, but it turned out so well. I can say that I'm getting better at coloring in images... not perfect yet, but getting there.

My Godson (and nephew) loves his League of Legends and other computer games. If he's not at work, chances are he is in his room with his headset on playing some game. I designed this card within My Memories Suite digital software... using the 'Geektacular' scrapkbooking kit from Mags Graphics (MagsGfx).

Succulent Year

Playing with the new 'Simply Succulents' stamp set and it's coordinating 'Potted Succulents' dies. What a cute set... I can already see many variations that I can make with it.

I used the color combo Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.... and coordinated coloring in the images that way too. Although, using Soft Sea Foam, Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Green too! I used 'Wink of Stella' on the center succulent to make that one shine.

I used a stylus to make the inner edge to the label. (Once you run the die through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine.... do not take it out of the die. Just flip it over and run a stylus around the inner edge of the die to create the pop you see here.)

Thanks for taking a peek!

Field Party

With the new Sale-A-Bration freebies available.... I knew I had to create a card like Mary Fish's. There are some subtle differences, but the layout and papers are the same. Thanks Mary for your inspiration!

The papers are from the 'Flower and Field' DSP pack. The stamp set is 'Punch Party'. There is a postage stamp punch/die that coordinates well with the stamp I used.... but I do not have that punch/die.

Thanks for taking a look!

Stamp Set - Punch Party

Ink - Memento, Stampin' Blends (Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green)

Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Basic White, Flower & Field DSP

Elegant Moments

Just purchased the new 'Elegantly Said" stamp set and the coordinating 'Simply Elegant' Designer Series Paper (DSP). When I saw Kay Kalthoff's card on Pinterest.... I saved it! I'm so glad I did, cuz I was struggling to create a sympathy card for a family that lost their precious daughter. She was a friend to me as well, so I wanted to create something elegant. Thanks Kay for your inspiration!

I stamped the scroll image on the corners of the base cardstock.
The focal piece measures 3" x 4.25", and I matted that in Basic Black.
The 'Tasteful Labels' die was run through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine, and then I used a stylus around the edge of the die (backside) to create the 'pop' that you see along the edges.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Cataract Surgery Card

My Aunt just had cataract surgery on her eyes, and I was trying to find something to make for a card for her online. I saw these words/saying online, but I made the card my own by adding the line after 'cataracts', the red heart and the eyes on the bottom. I hope my Aunt will smile when she sees it! I know she is looking forward to seeing clearly again!

The card was designed within My Memories Suite digital studio.

Font - Arial Black (black)
Embellishments - eyes (free clipart online); line - SU
Stamp Brush Set - heart (red-SU)
Paper - Basic White, Basic Black
