Beach Fish

 

Our Godson is turning 1!!!!! His theme for his birthday is "O-Fish-ally 1" - how cool is that!

I picked out an old stamp set 'Fishy Friends' - oh they are adorable! I'm glad I remembered I had this set! lol (I have so many now... it's hard to keep track!).

I paired this set with the seaweed/ sea grass stamps from 'Friends are Like Seashells' stamp set. And used the Designer Series Paper - Beach Boardwalk DSP.

I chose to design the sentiment myself with My Memories Suite digital software... using the Fonts -  Curlz MT & Cornerstone. The Fishing rod is from MM9 (My Memories 9).

Calming Seashells

 

I saw this card on Pinterest and just fell in love with the color combination! I don't have a name, so if this is your... please let me know. Thanks so much for your lovely card and inspiration! I did change a few things to make the card my own.

I used Wink of Stella on some of the shells to make them shine and I used Glitter Exopy Shapes to make it feel like underwater! The Epoxy Shapes are old, so they did turn a bit yellow while in storage.

Seashell Moment

 

I really liked Priscilla's card (Priscilla's Papercrafts) that I needed one of my own. Although, I did not have the 'By The Bay' DSP (Designer Series Paper), so I created one using the stamps in the 'Friends Are Like Seashells' stamp set. I used the colors - Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon and Misty Moonlight. 

After embossing the Misty Moonlight cardstock with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder, I lightly added White ink with a sponge brayer to get the definition you see on my card. (Thanks for the tip Priscilla!

For the Sand dollar, I added a 'Wink of Stella' to make it shine.

I used a stylus to get more definition to the sentiment piece, as well.

Nailed Birthday

 

I really liked the look of Stampin' Country's card, so I created one for myself. My colors are changed from hers though -- I used Misty Moonlight, Blamy Blue and Gray Granite on mine.

Most of the images are from the 'Nailed It' stamp set with the exception of the lined background - that's from the 'Urban District' stamp set; the dotted background - that's from the 'Friends Are Like Seashells' stamp set; and the sentiment - that's from the 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous' stamp set.

I almost forgot my Brother-in-law's birthday. Not sure how I did that as I tend to look at my physical calendar and my iphone calendar to make sure I got everyone within the month that I'm making cards. So... this is a rushed card, but it turned out so well. I can say that I'm getting better at coloring in images... not perfect yet, but getting there.

You can't see it in this photo, but the background piece, shells and seaweed all have a 'Wink of Stella' on them to make them shine.

Whimsy Seashells

 

The Stamp Set 'Friends Are Like Seashells", the coordinating dies "Seaside Seashells' and the embossing folder "Seashells" offer many different cards options! It's best to get all 3 as they coordinate so well together. You'd be missing out if you didn't.

You may see a bit of the shimmer on the background of my card. Yes, I did paint the whole background with my Wink of Stella to make it shimmer as in the ocean. I also added Wink of Stella to the die cut seashells.

The sentiment is edged in the 'Stitched with Whimsy'  dies. I did fussy cut with my scissors the edge around the die-cut (I used the actual die as my guide to cut around it).
