Creating more Christmas cards for all my nieces and nephews.... I have 18 and one great niece! It is great trying to create 19 different Christmas cards... a little daunting too. BUT.... as I have collected many Christmas stamp sets throughout my time as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator... it was a breeze! Well, not a breeze, but I had plenty of inspiration with each stamp set.

Thanks for looking!

Now, I know this set is retired, but it's such a lovely stamp set to use for a masculine card. Thanks to Ana Marie Palmerin and her card I found on Pinterest.... I knew I had to create a card that was similar. Thanks Ana Marie!

Welcome Party

Tracie St. Louis created this lovely card and I found it on Pinterest. Thanks Tracie for your inspiration. My niece used to love bunnies.... I'm not sure what her favorite animal is now... hoping it's still bunnies. LOL.... I'm such a bad Aunt... I know. I paired the 'Welcome Easter' bunny stamp with the 'Punch Party' sentiment stamp to create my card. The 'Punch Party' stamp set is a promotional stamp from the 2021 Sale-A-Bration catalog. Loads of sentiments and frames to choose from.

I added some balloons from the 'Hippo Happiness' Stamp set and it's coordinating dies 'Hippo and Friends'.

Beautiful Cake

Wow! This card was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I saw the card Stampin' Up! created (right), and wanted to create a similar card for my niece. I first cut the individual cake layers and then stamped the border stamps on them. Hmmm.... it didn't look right.  Upon further inspection of the card here on the right, I see that the strip of icing dots is cut around the dots (icing). So, I created more cake layers and then cut around the icing. What a difference it makes. I've only created 2 cards with this particular stamp set... hopefully, this experience won't hinder making another card with this set! =)

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Birthday in the Meadow

I don't usually create scenes on my cards, but with this stamp set... I just had to give it a try. My final card turned out fabulous (In my opinion... LOL!)... but the work that I had to do to get there...whew!

Coloring in the scene took a bit of time to get it right. I first tried using just the blender pen.... but the "water" just didn't flow very well on the paper. I finally ended up using the aqua painter to achieve the results you see here along with the blender pen.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp sets - In The Meadow, Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Soft Suede, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate

Rose Blossom

Upon seeing Sharon Burkert's card on Pinterest.... I wanted to try something similar with the stamps that I had on hand. While I think mine looks good.... I really like the detail in the flowers/leaves on Sharon's stamp that she used for the background piece better than my own.

I created my cards as a 'Thank You' for all the generous people who donated to PurpleStride2016 5K Walk/Run -- which is supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Every little bit helps those fighting this deathly disease.... I hope they do find a cure for this soon.

Thanks so much for taking a peek!

Banner Party

This card is perfect for my niece -- who loves cupcakes with frosting! Sugar! Sugar! Sugar!  I had a little bit of trouble inking the cupcakes with my markers to get an even coating to stamp... I must have tried 4 or 5 times to get what you see here.  Practice makes perfect - huh? lol

I used the It's My Party DSP (designer series paper) for my background too.... to tie in the birthday theme! Such a great set of papers to go along with the stamp set and punches. I used the Banners Framelits to die-cut the banner...and then used scissors to cut out the matte to go under it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Set - Party Wishes

Snowman Wishes

Isn't my snowman cute! I love snowmen... just not the very very cold blustery days! =)
I saw Sheila Oliver's snowman punch art on Pinterest -- and just had to make one of my own.
Here is her card:

Thanks Shelia for your inspiration.

To create my snowman, I used a circle, cut in half for his head. For his carrot nose, I used one of the Flower Fair Framelits and cut one of the petals to resemble a nose. Next, I used the Two-Step Owl Punch for his eyes.

Sprinkles of Sea

This card took a while to come together.  I knew I wanted the lighthouse in the oval with the sponged sunset in the background, but that was about as far as I got.  I masked the lighthouse before sponging on the yellow and orange. Then, I removed the mask and colored in the lighthouse light in yellow and the lighthouse in gray.

I decided to have the background piece mimic the lighthouse stripes with the Irresistibly Yours DSP. I first tried to use Black Staz-on with my brayer to color in the stripes... OOPS! The extra color did not come off...and now my brayer was yucky too. Ugh!  Luckily, I had the Staz-on Cleaner... worked like a champ.  I got another piece of the Irresistibly Yours DSP and colored the black with my Memento Ink with the brayer.... whew!

I like the flag sentiment, as it reminds me of sailing. Goes perfectly with the lighthouse image (in my opinion).

Thanks for stopping by!

Irresistible Birthday

I know from looking at this photo it looks black and white, but it's not... it's Early Espresso and Naturals White.

This is the first time I'm working with the 'Irresistibly Yours' DSP.  This paper works just like the technique 'Emboss Resist'... the paper is already set with the embossed part -- you just need to add the color.  There are many ways to add color - spritzing, sponging, brayering, and what I used... 'direct to paper'.  I took the stamp pad and rubbed it on the paper (then wiped off the part that was embossed).
Cool huh?

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Amazing Birthday
Ink - Early Espresso, Versamark
Paper - Naturals White, Early Espresso, Irresistibly Yours DSP

Fabulous Borderettes

I really like the look of the Borderettes stamp set.  It is a bit tricky to get them straight on the clear block though.  The way that I got them straight was to place the edge of the plastic case on top of the clear block, then place the borderette stamp along the edge of the case.

I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I got the rows exactly perfect on my card. (I will say, I tried to accomplish this without the stamp-a-ma-jig without good results! lol!)

I covered up the words on Fabulous Four set, so only 'Thanks' was inked -- and again with my Stamp-a-ma-jig -- I stamped onto the card above the borderette.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Fabulous Four, Borderettes
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Memento Ink

Heart Greetings

I saw a similar card on pinterest from Kristen Cards and Creations....hers was grey and pink.  I wanted to make mine a bit more masculine.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Stamp Set - Good Greetings
Paper - Soft Suede, Whisper White, Thoroughly Modern DSP
