Best Love

Wanted to create a lovely winter Thank You card for my In-laws. I chose the colors Bermuda Bay and Pool Party... along with Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight for my card.

I used the 'So Much Love' stamp set to stamp twice (in opposite directions) for the flowers, and used 'Best Year' for the sentiment. I colored the image in using my Stampin' Blends markers.  I then used 'Wink of Stella' over all the flowers to make them shine!

Thanks for dropping by!

Lovely Party

With the 'So Much Love' stamp set there can be endless possibilities as to what color combo to choose from. That, to me, was the issue here. I knew I wanted this layout with the 'True Love' DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. So, the color combo I chose was:
Petal Pink/ Calypso Coral/ Old Olive/ Mossy Meadow

I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flower petal to make them shine.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Failed Attempt

When I saw Justine Hovey's card.... I said what a cool technique. So, I attempted and failed miserably with my card. Not sure how she was able to get a cool bright color within the petals. I even colored mine with a white colored pencil and it didn't show as bright at all.

I felt that I had to showcase my failures as well as my successes to show everyone sometimes fails. You just have to keep working on it. Now, I may attempt this technique again, but just maybe not with Navy cardstock.... maybe something lighter.

Thanks for taking a look though!

Peaceful Love

This card features two (well, three if you count the sentiment) stamp sets. The flowers are from the 'So Much Love' set and the leaves are from the 'To A Wild Rose' set. The sentiment is from the 'Peaceful Moments' set.  I suppose I could have just used the flowers and leaves all from the 'So Much Love', but didn't want to fussy cut all the leaves and buds.

I chose to use the color combo of Pretty Peacock and Pool Party for the flowers. Using the Stampin' Blends makes the colors blend beautifully together. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the dark areas on each flower to make them sparkle a bit.

Thanks for stopping by!
