Marymoor

I had created a 12x12 calendar page of the image you see on the left....and wanted to use it in my 2012 photobook (so I converted it to a 8.5x11 page).  Also, I created a companion page to make it a double-page spread!  These pages reflect the joy in nature that both Mike and I have come to love!

One of the photos is of a tree.... where both Mike and I thought it looked a lot like the 'Whomping Willow' tree in the movies 'Harry Potter'.  So.... we couldn't miss the photo-op of the tree 'whomping' on me.  We have so much fun!

Thanks for taking a look!

Space Center - DGSC089

Continuing with my 2010 scrapbook.....I will get this finished.....eventually! HA!  I would really like to get this finished by the end of the year, but not sure that it's a possibility.... I'm still working on June 2010! I am plugging away though, and My Digital Studio makes it so much easier to design the pages.
In June 2010, we were in Houston, so on one weekend day....we took a drive to the Space Center in Houston.  It was such an amazing place, so fantastic to see all the rockets and artifacts on display.

I used the Splitcoaststampers Digi-Scrap Challenge - Going in Circles DGSC089 for these pages (using circles).

On the design level, I used the overlay (Vintage Overlay #11), and while I was designing it -- it looks a bit different on the page than it does when transported as a .jpg file. It kinda looks more like space in the background now that's it's a .jpg file.  I hope when it's printed it will look like this! =)

Thanks for looking!

Holy Communion Letter

My niece, Lauren, is making her First Holy Communion in May this year.  My brother asked me to write a letter to Lauren for her to open on her special day.
What an honor! I decided to create my letter in My Digital Studio so that I could add a cross to the letter, as you see here!
The cross was made pretty much the same way it was completed on my card that I will give to her....you can view the card here:

Punch - Scallop Trim Border, Scallop Trim Corner  (Pink Pirouette)
Embellishment - Cheerful Treat
Text - Cordial (Black)
