Warm Hugs

Ah! My favorite color combination! I decided to try a different technique with the "distinktive" stamp in the 'Healing Hugs' stamp set.

I stamped the image on Daffodil Delight, and then with the sponge dauber, I sponged Pumpkin Pie all around the edges. What a cool effect!

I also used a retired edgelit. "Adorning Accents" makes a beautiful card front!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Healing Hugs, Blooming With Kindness
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Paper - Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Adorning Accents, sponge dauber, dimensionals, scissors

Such a cute stamp for a cute couple celebrating their 57th anniversary, my husband's parents. It's fitting since Mike's Mom loves bluejays!

I wanted to use a few of my products from SU that I haven't used yet... the Lacy Brocade TIEF and the Best of Brides and Babies stamp set.  I even used the wording from that stamp set (to have and to hold forever and always) on the inside of the card!

Framelit Owl

I saw a similar owl made by Debbie Henderson, and it looked so cute.....had to make one of my own.

I used the Windows Collection Framelit (largest one) for the base. Used the Adorning Accent Edgelit for the feathers (9 layers). The Heart punch for the beak, and circle punches (non-SU) for the eyes.

Adorned Blossoms

I truly want to thank all the Stampin' Up Demonstrators for all the inspiration that is showcased in our Stampin' Connection site.  I incorporated the colors from Tara (Murphy) Bourgoin's card and the layering of the blossoms from Chantale St-jean's card. Thank you!

With Grandparents' Day fast approaching, I wanted to created something truly special for both my Grandmothers.  They have taught me so much throughout the years.  My Grandma Schwab is 95 and my Grandma Hynes is 89.

I do have to say that this card was time-consuming, with all the cutting of the blossoms. I used My Digital Studio to create the sentiment, and printed it on Very Vanilla cardstock.

Thanks for looking!

Kind Blooms - SCCSC131

I saw the Stampin' Connection Card Sketch Challenge today, and thought at first it was a pretty easy sketch. Well, it was a bit of a struggle to get the card the way you see it here....I changed the embossed pieces quite a few times, and the edge to the bottom as well! The final project came out pretty good though, and I'm so happy with the results! LOL!
Hope you like the card too!

Flourishing Wings

A few of my nieces are not fans of pink/purple combinations of color, so... with looking at the Colour Q Challenge (CQC135) along with the Stampin Connection Challenge (SCCSC117) I was able to come up with a card that I believe my niece will love! I used Riding Hood Red instead of Ruby Red, and I got rid of the layered box underneath my butterflies (it looked to busy with it).
You can view all the projects created with the Colour Q Challenge here: http://colourq.blogspot.com/2012/05/colourq-challenge-135.html

Hybrid Sweet Vintage

My niece will be turning 16 this year, and really loves the color green! I really liked the Fresh Vintage stamp, but didn't have it...then, I thought, wait, I have it in My Digital Studio. So awesome! Especially, since I could size the stamp bigger than the actual stamp size.

I started with a 4x5.25 punch (filled w/Lucky Limeade), then stamped the image (filled it with white from the color palette, next I copied and pasted the image in place (changed the color to lucky limeade) and moved it over 2 clicks (with the arrow keys). After placing the font in (using white text), I printed it on Very Vanilla cardstock. This way....the Very Vanilla will show through in all the places that 'white' was used from the color palette.
Thanks for looking!

Stamp set - Fresh Vintage (MDS)
Paper - Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla
Punch - Square (filled w/Lucky Limeade)
