Blended Blossom

Ever since I saw Paula Dobson's card... I wanted to try creating a similar card. Now, I wasn't happy with the alcohol markers prior to Stampin' Blends. The Stampin' Blends markers make blending and coloring a snap!

I chose the color combo of Poppy Parade/Basic Gray/White for my card. It looks like Paula used Calypso Coral for hers.

I decided that I wanted to have an embossed background, so I used the 'Layered Leaves' DTIEF.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Blended Bloom, Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Basic Gray, Poppy Parade, Stampin' Blends (light Poppy Parade)
Paper - Basic Gray, Whisper White
Accessories - Big Shot, Layered Leaves DTIEF, scissors

Epic Birthday

My nephew loves shoes... I'm not even sure I know how many he has now. With that in mind, I found this stamp within the 'Epic Celebrations' stamp set. Very appropriate!

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the 'Happy Birthday' stamped background. The sentiment is from the 'Birthday Blossoms' stamp set.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Epic Celebrations, Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide
Paper - Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White

Remarkable Blossom

When I saw Natalie's card on Pinterest, I just knew I had to create one for myself. Thanks Natalie for your inspiration!

I stamped the leaf on 3x3 inch Whisper White with Early Espresso ink. I colored the leaves in with an AquaPainter using Old Olive ink. I then stamped the flower on another piece of Whisper White cardstock with Early Espresso ink. I colored it in again with the AquaPainter using Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango ink.  I cut the entire flower out with scissors, so that it can be attached to the leaf panel with glue dots to make it stand out.

I used Calypso Coral for my card base instead of Tangerine Tango as with using the AquaPainter the orange color matched better on my final piece.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Sets - Birthday Blossoms, Remarkable You
Ink - Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Old Olive
Paper - Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Wood Textures DSP

Paisley Birthday

I have to say, using Designer Series Paper makes quick work with creating a lovely card. Here, I used a portion of the Paisley Petals DSP and paired it with the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

With a touch of ribbon detail....the card is complete!

Blossom Scribbles

I'm loving the new Swirly Scribbles thinlits! I saw a few cards on Pinterest using the scribbles as vines and wanted to try that on my card here.

The background is embossed using the Brick Wall TIEF. I then die-cut the scribbles thinlits on my Big Shot using Pear Pizzazz. Using the new In-Colors (Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach), I stamped each color on the corresponding cardstock and used the Pansy Punch to cut them out.

I probably should have stamped the sentiment before embossing the background, but it turned out okay stamping it after I embossed it.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used
Stamp Sets - Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo
Paper - Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

Birthday in the Meadow

I don't usually create scenes on my cards, but with this stamp set... I just had to give it a try. My final card turned out fabulous (In my opinion... LOL!)... but the work that I had to do to get there...whew!

Coloring in the scene took a bit of time to get it right. I first tried using just the blender pen.... but the "water" just didn't flow very well on the paper. I finally ended up using the aqua painter to achieve the results you see here along with the blender pen.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
Stamp sets - In The Meadow, Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Soft Suede, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate
Paper - Soft Suede, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Accessories - Blender Pen, Aqua Painter, Banners Framelits, Big Shot

Birthday Botanicals

I finally got my Big Shot Die Brush.... and it was so glad I did. The leaf petals and the letters for the word 'Happy' on the dies were so easy to extract when using the brush. Whew!

I don't usually buy the DSP, but decided to give it a try... I'm glad I did!

Thanks for stopping by!

Blossoming Wings

This is the first time working with the Watercolor Wings stamp set.  Gee... I have a lot of stamp sets that need to be used! LOL! The butterly's colors are Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder and Night of Navy... lovely combination! The stamp set is a 1-2-3 step stamps that build the butterfly as you work with the stamps.  Pretty cool!

This card was designed for my niece. She used to love pink... now she is more like her Mom where she loves blues and purples.

Thanks for looking!

Woodgrain Blossoms

I wanted to create a card using my new stamp set 'Birthday Blossoms'.  And how appropriate it is for my Aunt's birthday!
I embossed the top and bottom of my white paper before stamping the sentiment in-between. Not sure if you can see it in my photo, though.
At first I stamped each flower with the corresponding ink that went with the paper, but thought the flowers didn't really 'pop' off the paper.  So, I finally stamped them all in Early Espresso to make the definition stand out.
I punch each flower out using the pansy punch and cut each leaf with scissors.

Thanks for looking!

Stamp Set - Birthday Blossoms
Ink - Early Espresso
Paper - Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Hello Honey, Whisper White, Always Artichoke
