Celebrate Chocolate

The 'Nothings Better Than' stamp set is just perfect for a Valentine's Day card! I wanted to create a box of chocolates.... such a cute idea! I used my 'Nesting Stitched Hearts' dies (Non-SU), to cut out a white heart. I then, stamped several times on the cardstock to create all the chocolates you see here (as you can see I didn't using a masking technique.... just stamped in rows to cover the whole shape. I matted the heart, with an Early Espresso piece of cardstock.
Both the sentiment and the banner are retired stamp sets (Something to Celebrate and Birthday Banners, respectively). The Bunch of Banners is also retired.
The background is an embossing folder 'Stone'. I thought it resembled hardened chocolate when you unwrap it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ink - Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider, Stampin' Blends (Cinnamon Cider, Bronze)
Paper - Cinnamon Cider, Early Espresso, Whisper White

Seasonal Wood

My Dad has just recently made (by hand) 3 Adirondack chairs for his home. So, with that in mind, I found Kathie Durgan's card on pinterest. I figured that I could create something similar.  Thanks Kathie for your inspiration! As you can see... I changed some things to make it my own, but wanted to give credit to Kathie who inspired my card.

I used the color combo of Early Espresso/Dapper Denim/Crushed Curry.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Mother's Day 2019

Mother's Day is always a hard time for me, as my Mother is no longer here on Earth. I know she is watching me from heaven, and I know I will be with her again someday! My husband still has his Mom, and she is a comfort to me too. I do have a few Mother-figures in my life, as does Mike too.
My God-Mother (my Aunt Pat), my best friend's Mom (Kathy) and Mike's family friend (Jennifer). Thanks to all the Mom's out there who love, nurture and provide.... not only for your family, but to all the extended "family" too! Hugs and love to all of you!

I wanted to show you how I received inspiration from SallyStampers card (bottom)... and changed it to make it my own! Thanks for your inspiration Sally!

I utilized many different stamp sets for my cards. The banner is from 'Birthday Banners' and the words inside the banner is from 'Thoughtful Banners'. The flowers and leaves are from 'Falling Flowers' with it's coordinating 'May Flowers' framelits. The banner is die-cut using the 'Bunch of Banners' Framelits. My background is one that I absolutely LOVE!!!!! 'Layered Leaves' DTIEF.

Tropical Banners

I fell in love with the colors on Korstan Del Rosario's card (right)... so I just had to create one of my own. My Uncle and his daughter (my cousin) are planning on going to Hawaii, so I thought a tropical birthday card was in order!  AND... I wanted it to be a bit masculine, so the blue/green combo was perfect! Thanks Korstan!

I paired the 'Tropical Chic' stamp set with the 'Birthday Banners' sentiment. The 'Bunch of Banners' Framelits coordinate with the set.

Thanks for dropping by! Aloha and Mahalo!

Stamp Sets - Tropical Chic, Birthday Banners

Painted Pines

With each stamp set I purchase, I sometimes look to see if there's an unusual way to use the stamp/image/shape. With the 'Christmas Pines' stamp set... you would think that you could only use it for pinecones. Well, I noticed that the image sort of looked like a pineapple too. So, I thought to make a cute card using the image as a pineapple.

For the greenery for the pineapple, I used the leaf stamp in the 'Painted Harvest' stamp set.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Christmas Pines, Painted Harvest, Birthday Banners
Ink - Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green
Paper - Pineapple Punch, Whisper White, Nature's Poem DSP

Pinewood Banner

I really liked the masculine feel to Christie's Creations card (bottom), so I decided to create one of my own using her general layout!  Thanks Christie!

I die-cut the banners from the 'Bunch of Banners' framelits. You can't see it from the card, but I cut the brown and yellow banners, so that I could a bit longer than the green ones.

Thanks for looking!

I used a scrap piece of paper... and used the Deco Labels Framelit to create the frame for my sponging.

Number of Birthdays

My oldest sibling just turned 50 years old! I have always wanted to create a birthday card with many candles on it, but was never happy with the result as each candle was not perfectly aligned! NOW.... with the introduction of the new 'Stamparatus', I was able to stamp 50 candles on this cute card I made for my brother!

Using the Stamparatus, I was able to stamp the blue candles in a line.... once that was complete... I switched to the green candles and placed them in between the blue candles. I didn't use the stamparatus with the flame part....as I wanted them to look like actual flames that aren't perfectly aligned.

The candles, flames and sentiment are from the 'Birthday Banners' stamp set. The front cover was made using the 'Number of Years' stamp set (excluding the Happy Birthday sentiment). The sentiment "and many more" is from the "And Many More" stamp set.

I created the word "pull" in my digital software and used the die-cut flag from the "Large Numbers" framelits.

Birthday Remarks

I paired the flower in the 'Remarkable You' stamp set along with the sentiment in the 'Birthday Banners' set in this card.

I also used the retired Brights DSP... I so miss these paper stacks from Stampin' Up! But... I have enough of it leftover that I can still utilize it on my cards for a while! =)

I added the heart from the Brights Enamel Shapes... very cute addition, if I do say so myself. Now I'm wondering why I didn't purchase these sooner. LOL!

As this card is for my Uncle in spring... I wanted all my trees to be green and lush. So I used Old Olive and Emerald Envy for my trees.

Thanks for taking a peek.
