Peaceful Art

 

The 'Artfully Layered' stamp set and its coordinating 'Tropical Layers' is a great set to create masculine cards. Using the right color scheme truly helps make it more masculine. Thanks to Jo Blackman and her card for giving me a layout to work with AND design. I changed a few things to make it my own.

I used the 'Peaceful Prints' DSP for the background piece.

Artfully Autumn

 

I took inspiration from Mikaela Titheridge's card (found on Pinterest)... Loved the look of the die-cut in the background of the piece! Thanks Mikaela!

I changed a few things to make the card my own, but wanted to show where I saw my inspiration.

I used the Rectangle Stitched dies for the sentiment and background piece. I adjusted the die to make it smaller to fit the sentiment stamp I had. The 'pinking' die is from the 'Tropical Layers' dies.

I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flowers and berries.

I really liked the look of La Fee Kiki's card (found on Pinterest). I wanted to create one similar, but with greens! Thanks so much for your inspiration Kiki!

I paired the 'Artfully Layered' stamp set with the Stone embossing folder. I used the Rectangle Stitched dies to cut out the sentiment.

LeeAnn Greff's card was so elegant and stunning... I just knew I had to create one of my own. Thanks LeeAnn for your inspiration! I chose to use the colors that were in Tracy and Dan's wedding gold/red/white. Such a beautiful color combination during the Christmas season! As the wedding invitations back when they got married used snowflakes... I used the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder in the background! I know Tracy will LOVE all the little touches to highlight their wedding 9 years ago!

From Genevieve Ko's card... I was inspired to create my own card... making a dramatic color combo for my brother-in-law for his birthday. 

I paired Basic Black with Parakeet Party. The Parakeet Party really stands out on the Black background. I felt the background needed some dimension, so I embossed them with the Fern 3D folder.

I chose to create a card based on the card from Stampin' Up! Most of it is the same, but made it my own with the different colors and sentiment piece.

My color combo here is Night of Navy/So Saffron/Crumb Cake

I used a stylus to run along the edge of my die-cut piece for the sentiment to make it pop.

Flourishing Layers

When I saw this post on Instagram by Stampin' Up!.... I just knew I wanted to try this for my Father's Day cards this year! Such a cute and easy to put together card.

The scallop die is from the 'Tropical Layers' die set and the ferns are from the 'Forever Flourishing' dies set (just snip of the top of the fern.

I chose manly colors of Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow instead of the colors they used on their card.

I loved Lin's layout from Hearts Hugs and Flowers blog, so I decided to create my own following her layout and colors. Thanks Lin!

The flowers are from the 'True Love' DSP... just colored with Stampin' Blends and cut out with scissors. I added a touch of 'Wink of Stella' to the flower petals to make them shine.
