Working on our 2019 photobook... still in May 2019. Here is a two page layout from our niece, Tori, and her husband, Aaron's, wedding at the Skyview Lodge in Brunswick Hills, OH. It was a beautiful day... the rain held out until we were at the reception.

I kept the background white, and used the decorative border in burgundy - which were the wedding colors.

Background - white
Embellishments - Loved Mini Kit (flower - PattyB)
Stamp Brush Set - Torn Edges (border-burgundy - SU)

Hutto - SE351

Working on another two-page spread for our 2012 photobook.  In March 2012, we took a trip to Texas to visit my sister and her family.  What was so cool, was that my parents came to visit that same week!  We had a lot of fun, and did many many things during our visit!  I had so many pictures too.... it was s hard to narrow it down to just a few. Whew!

I used a sketch I found online at Scrapbooks Etc (SE351).  I realize now that I look at the sketch, I didn't follow it exactly, but.... I did use it as inspiration.

I just want to point out what I did to achieve the lines underneath the title.  I used the Eclectic Overlays frame (same one as the background piece), but I cropped the stamp so just the lines showed.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Ornament Magnet

My brother and his fiancee will be getting married in December... and wanted some 'Save the Date' magnets to mail in July.
They asked if I could make an ornament shape.... and I was able to find a Sissix die that would suit my/their needs perfectly.  I created a 4x6 print in My Digital Studio, printed them out on photo paper, attached them to the 4x6 magnet sheets, and then ran them through the ornament die.  Time-consuming when you need to make 200, but so well worth it.... as it will be a lasting reminder of my brother and his fiancee.  Love them!

Ship and Sun - MDSM003

There's a new challenge on the MDS Monday blog.  This one showcases a technique (photo filled grouped boxes) within a sketch challenge. What a great technique! You may view the challenge on their blog here: http://mdsmonday.blogspot.com/2012/12/mds3-its-technique-challenge.html

I had a hard time deciding which pictures to choose, since the photo box behind the grouped ones was behind it. (My husband helped!) =)

With the weather getting colder this time of the year, I wanted to be reminded of sand and sun!

Coastal Lighthouse - HSSIC128

I originally created this page for my cell phone wallpaper, but it turned out so well.... I will be using it on a card too!  I had started creating this prior to the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge (HSSIC128) coming out....we must have been on the same wave-length!

You may view the challenge and all the projects created with it here:

I used My Digital Studio software to create the page, and used Julie LeBlanc's brayering technique to create the softness and texture needed for the water and the light in the lighthouse.
You may view how this technique is done here:

Stamps - The Open Sea (Ship in Basic Black), Decorative Overlays (Starburst in Peach Parfait), Inspired by Nature (grass in Mellow Moss), Torn Edges (Sand in Crumb Cake)
Background - Daffodil Delight
Punches - Various punches to create the lighthouse
