Cottage Greetings

 

When I started out making this card... I had a portrait style in mind. I felt that the sentiment piece worked better in the landscape style... so changed my thinking.

I love the bold coloring of the flowers.... I chose Cajun Craze and Timid Tiger (with Daffodil Delight).

Theresa McEntee's card was so cute... with its lovely layout... I just knew I had to create one for myself for my niece. Thanks Theresa for your inspiration!

I changed up the colors, but I used the same package of DSP that she used - which coordinated so well with the 'Stippled Roses' set. I used 'Wink of Stella' to make the petals shine.

I loved the look of Chris Smith's card... it's elegant in its simplicity. I decided to try to create something similar... although... mine isn't monochromatic like Chris' is. Thanks for your inspiration!

The sentiment piece is from the 'Layers of Beauty' stamp set and cut out using the 'Unbounded Love' die set.

The bottom edge is from the 'Eden' die set.

The DSP is from the 'Softly Stippled' designer series paper pack.

I used the 'Softly Stippled' DSP for the blue background and the 'Coastal Weave' embossing folder for the beige background piece. The sun shape is from the 'Tasteful Labels' dies.

Mother's Day 2024

 

I was intrigued by Elaine's use of the 'Stippled Roses' suite (stamps, dies and papers). So, I tried my hand at utilizing all these within the cards I made for Mother's Day (with all the mothers in my life!)

I love that I was able to use only the Stippled Roses stamps/dies and papers on these cards.

I did add a Wink of Stella on the petals of the roses.
