Happy Roses

 

I started out trying to create Karen Ksenzakovic's card... and decided to go in a different direction with my card. The front panel looks similar. So, thanks Karen for your inspiration!

The sentiment piece: the sentiment is from the 'Happiness Abounds' stamp set and the die is from the coordinating 'Blossoming Happiness' dies. I used Basic White twine in the holes to create a lovely threaded sentiment piece for my friend.

I added a Wink of Stella to the flowers to make them shine.

I really like how this turned out, but my initial vision for the card veered greatly from the finished product. LOL! I guess it helps that I had the person to whom this card was for in  my mind while designing it. 

Anyway... colors used are Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia.

I colored the White Organdy ribbon using my Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends.

I added a 'Wink of Stella' to the flower petals to make them shine.

I just love the simplicity in Julia's card. Just one stamp set and you have everything to create a lovely card. Although I do love the pastel colors (and I may need to create one using the pastel colors for my own), I chose to use Poppy Parade, Azure Afternoon, and Wild Wheat together for this card. My Aunt (who the card is for), is an All-American woman. I felt these colors reflected her patriotism better than a pastel card would.

I added a 'Wink of Stella' to all the petals.

I love bright spring flowers! Yellows and Pinks make for a stunning card (in my opinion).

I chose Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo and paired it with Granny Apple Green.

The new 'Happiness Abounds' stamp set and it's coordinating dies 'Blossoming Happiness' do not disappoint. There are sentiments along with many different flowers to coordinate with whatever you choose to create.

The background piece die cut was interesting to me, and thought it could be used as a lattice type background.
