Kim and Jake Wedding

Wow! Congratulations to my cousin, Kim and her new husband, Jake! They got married! I was honored to design and create their wedding invitations for them. It was a labor of LOVE. With a few mishaps with my die-cutting machine... I was able to get all the die-cut pieces cut with the help of my best friend, Dawn and her Cricut machine! Thanks Dawn for helping me!

The inside floral design with the written words were designed within My Memories Suite digital software and printed through 'Prints of Love'.

Thanks Kim and Jake for entrusting in me to design and make all your wedding invitations and to be a part of your very special day! May you have many blessings in your marriage!

I designed this in My Memories Suite digital software, and then printed it on Basic White cardstock and finished matting it the traditional way.

Thanks for stopping by!

Tori and Aaron Wedding

I was honored to be asked to create the 'Save the Date' and Wedding Invitations for my niece, Tori, and her now husband, Aaron. Her colors were burgundy and white, and she loved the intricate die-cut shape in the 'Detailed Floral' thinlits.

The 'Save the Date' cards were pretty simple to create. Measuring 4.25"x5.5". The wording was designed in my digital software (My Memories Suite) and printed on Whisper White cardstock. I was able to fit 4 on an 8.5"x11" piece of cardstock. I cut the white sections to 4"x5.25". The die-cut shape was made with the Big Shot and adhered to the white cardstock on the bottom.

The wedding invitations measure 5"x7". The actual invitation is a pocket card made from an 8.5"x11" piece of burgundy cardstock. I cut the piece to 8.5"x10". Along the long side I scored at 5". Turning it to the short side, I scored at 7" to the scored line from the previous instructions... then cut the rest on the 7". Turning the piece to the long side again, I cut the 1.5" off the bottom left-hand side. Now, folding on the scored lines... I used glue dots to adhere the "pocket" on the bottom of the right-hand side to the right side of the invite.

The wording for both the invite and the response card was again designed in my digital software and printed on Whisper White cardstock. I was able to fit 2 invites per 8.5"x11 piece. I was able to fit 3 responses to an 8.5"x11 piece (response card measures 3.5"x5").

I used the 'Detailed Floral' thinlit for both the response cards and the invite. As you can see, I had to be creative in making the die-cut shape fit the top of the invite -- as the die-cut shape was too small for the piece. Yes, I die-cut the piece twice to create a mirrored image on top! Clever! I used spray adhesive to adhere the intricate die-cut shape to the invite.

For the front of the invite, I used my software to print their names out and printed them on Whisper White cardstock. I was able to fit 18 on a piece of 8.5"x11" piece of cardstock. I then stamped the 'Special Reason' frame shape (in Merry Merlot ink) around the names and die-cut them out using the 'Stylish Stems' framelits.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite digital software

Tyler and Emily Wedding

My godson, Tyler, is marrying his bride, Emily. I was honored to be asked to create their wedding invitations for them. The wording on the invite, as well as, the response card was designed in my digital software (My Memories Suite) and printed on gray (Smoky Slate) cardstock.

The invite is matted in Whisper White cardstock and then adhered to the pocket card. The pocket card measures 5"x7". The response card measures 3.5"x5".

How to create the pocket card. Using an 8.5"x 10" piece of cardstock. Score at 5" (on the 10" side). On the 8.5" side. Score at 7" until you reach the scored line from the previous instructions, then cut the remaining section. Turning the piece again to the longer side (10"), cut the 1.5" piece out from the left-side to the center. Fold the scored pieces, and adhere the 1.5" piece with glue dots to create a small pocket on the right-hand side.

The ribbon was found at Joann Fabrics (turquoise) and online - Amazon (lace).

For the front of the invitation, I designed the "tag" with my digital software and printed it out on gray cardstock. Using my 'Apothecary Accents' framelits with my Big Shot... I die-cut the shapes out and adhered it to the ribbon/lace.

Thanks for taking a closer look.

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite digital software
Fonts used - Shelley Volante Script (turquoise) and Bernhardt (black)

Wedding Album - Brooke and Steven

On September 16, our God-daughter got married. It was a lovely wedding. We, along with others, took many photos on this day. I decided to create a small album (6x6 album) for her to have with the photos we took (photo credits to Alene Davis, Tiffany Cashman and Mike Malcor) . The album has 26 pages....and has a soft cover.  Her theme was a country wedding with sunflowers, so I incorporated that into the pages that I created.

I used my digital software - My Memories Suite to create the book, and had it printed through them.

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite
Background - Country Sunflowers (Mandog)
Embellishments - You Are My Sunshine Cluster (Snicker); Country Sunflowers - Sunflower (Mandog)
Font - Cordial (White)

Wedding Invitations - Sunflowers

I had the great pleasure of creating the wedding invitations for my Goddaughter, Brooke, and her fiance, Steven. Now husband and wife as of September 16, 2017! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hall.

The outside pocket card is made from a single sheet of 8.5" x 11" Night of Navy cardstock. I cut the piece to 8.5" x 10". I then scored it at 5" down the center (the 10" side). I then cut the left side of the paper to 7" (out of the 8.5") and made the cut reach the score line. From there, I scored the flap to create the pocket. I used one glue dot to adhere it to the back.

I designed both the invitations and the response cards with my digital software - My Memories Suite.
The sunflowers are from Country Sunflowers (Mandog) and the fonts used are Engravers MT, Berhart, and Chancellor. I created 100 invitations.

After adhering each invitation to the pocket card, I placed the response card and an envelope in the pocket to the right. I purchased burlap cloth from Joann's to use to wrap the invitation closed (I used staples to stick the ends together... as well as stapling the sunflower back to the burlap. I then added the sunflower center on top to hide the staple.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies Used:
My Memories Suite
Fonts - Engravers MT, Bernhart, Chancellor
Embellishments - Country Sunflowers (Mandog)
Paper - Night of Navy, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso

Sunflower Wedding Invitations

I had the opportunity to create wedding invitations for a friend of a friend of my sister-in-law.  My sister-in-law's wedding was the first time I attempted to create wedding invitations, so I was nervous about accepting this order from someone other than family.

The mother-in-law, mother and bride were so easy to talk with as we created something that the bride was excited to hand out.  The top photo is the final version, but wanted to share with you all the versions I came up with (below).  The bride wanted sunflowers on her invitations, so I gave her 3 to choose from:

After choosing the one they liked the best. She wanted a pocket card invitation, so with the photo above you can definitely see the pocket card design.

I created the pocket card out of 12x12 cardstock. I cut 2" from the bottom. On the Simply Scored Plate - I scored on 2.25" and 7.25".... and I rotated it 90 degrees (counter- clockwise) and scored on 7". With the scoring done, I trimmed the bottom piece to only include the pocket part.

Here is what the closed invitation looks like:

I'm so happy that they are pleased with the results of all my hard work.
Thanks for looking!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Flower Patch
Paper - Night of Navy, Delightful Dijon, Crushed Curry
Ink - Delightful Dijon, Chocolate Chip

I used My Digital Studio to create the inside invitation and response card.
Stamp Set - Noteworthy Labels (by Stampin' Up!)

Wedding Escort Cards and Table Numbers

I just remembered that I had never posted photos of the escort cards (place cards) and table numbers that I created for my brother's wedding (back in Dec 2013).  I really enjoyed creating them for my little brother and new sister-in-law on their special day.

You may view the wedding invites that I created here:December Wedding Invitations

I used My Digital Studio software for all of these.
Escort Cards (Place cards)
I typed four (4) names using the Cordial Font to an 8.5x11 page -- spacing them out so that the paper can be cut 4x4in.
I scored the paper in half using my Simply Scored Plate.
I embossed the snowflakes with the Northern Flurry TIEF.
I created the 'numbers' on another 8.5x11 sheet within MDS and cut them out using the Bitty Banners Framelits

Table Numbers
I typed two (2) Numbers using the Majestic Font to an 8.5x11 page in MDS -- spacing them out, so that they can be cut 4x6in.
I then embossed them, using the Northern Flurry TIEF.
I attached them to Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.
I created the stand using three small candy canes....gluing them together along with a spiral clip inside. I added a gold ribbon (craft store) around the candy canes.
