Happy Daydream

Shirley Gentry's card was so cute... I just knew I had to create a card similar for my niece. Thanks Shirley for your inspiration! I changed a few things to make the card my own, but wanted to share where I got my design from.
I used the butterfly from the 'Daffodil Daydream' stamp set along with it's coordinating 'Daffodil' dies.
All butterflies have 'Wink of Stella' on them to make them shine.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Happy Dahlias

Using the Delicate Dahlias from the Aug-Sept 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalog paired with the sentiment from 'Happy Thoughts' stamp set. I used my favorite color combo of Pumpkin Pie/Daffodil Delight/ Old Olive. Perfect for a fall card.

I did use scissors to cut out the leaves and dahlia flower. I added a 'Wink of Stella to the flower petals to make them shine.

Thanks for looking!

Failed Attempt

When I saw Justine Hovey's card.... I said what a cool technique. So, I attempted and failed miserably with my card. Not sure how she was able to get a cool bright color within the petals. I even colored mine with a white colored pencil and it didn't show as bright at all.

I felt that I had to showcase my failures as well as my successes to show everyone sometimes fails. You just have to keep working on it. Now, I may attempt this technique again, but just maybe not with Navy cardstock.... maybe something lighter.

Thanks for taking a look though!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets - Happy Thoughts, So Much Love
Ink - Versamark
Paper - Night of Navy, Gold Foil
Accessories - Heat Tool, Gold Embossing Powder, Colored Pencils (Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Whisper White), Paper Trimmer

Poppy Thoughts

I really loved the  'Poppy Moments' dies when I saw them in the catalog, but they gave me trouble with the intricate parts and in trying to glue them to my projects. When I saw the Adhesive Sheets in the catalog.... I just knew that my frustrations would be over!

The way the adhesive sheets work is to cut a piece the size of the die needed. Take off the backing and adhere the sticky part to the cardstock that you want to die-cut. Next die-cut it. Now that it's die-cut... remove the other side to reveal the sticky part on the cardstock and adhere it to your project. Perfect every time!

I used 'Wink of Stella' on the inside parts of the flower petal to make it shine... Surprisingly, you can see this in my photo (most of my photos, you can't see this). I used a stylus to make the sentiment die-cut shape 'pop' too.

Thanks for dropping by!

Stamp set- Happy Thoughts
Ink - Memento
Paper - Basic White, So Saffron, Basic Black
Accessories - scissors, stylus, Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine, Stone embossing Folder, Hippo and Friends dies, Poppy Moments dies, Wink of Stella, adhesive sheets, dimensionals, glue dots

Happy Layers

I special shout-out to Barb O'Neill for her beautiful cards! Thanks to Barb and her lovely layout, I was able to create a beautiful card for my Aunt using the 'True Love' Designer Series Paper. As you can see, I used different papers that were in the pack. The flowers are from that same Designer Series Paper. YES! I did cut the flowers out with scissors.

I used some 'Wink of Stella' to make the petals of the flowers sparkle.

A Touch of Happy

Seeing Patti Dolan's card on Pinterest.... I just knew I had to create something similar with the stamps that I had. Thanks Patti for your inspiration!  As you can see, I changed the flowers and background to make this card my own, but gave credit to Patti.... as this was her layout and colors.

I embossed the background with the the 'Stone' Embossing Folder.

The flowers and leaves were cut out using scissors and colored in using the Stampin' Blends markers. For the flowers I used Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya and the leaves Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.

The 'Tasteful Labels' die was die-cut, then flipped over and a stylus was used around the edges of the die to make it 'pop'.

I used 'Wink of Stella' on all the flowers to make them shine.

Thanks for dropping by!
