Wallace Falls - SC85

I had a lot of fun with this sketch, and I will definitely use this page for our 2015 calendar (places we've been to in 2014)! Thanks Anita at Stampin' Celebration for your inspirational sketch!

I did NOT have Island Indigo Dotted paper, so I created my own within MDS -- using Soft Sky for my Dots on top of Island Indigo background.  I saved that image (.jpg file) to my computer as a DSP paper within the MDS software.  I was then able to choose this Dotted Island Indigo paper for my Flag Punch on my page. How cool is that -- creating your own DSP!

Stamp Brush Sets - Dots, Dots, Dots (Soft Sky); Decorative Overlays (woodgrain - Early Espresso)
Background - Textured Cardstock (Early Espresso)
Punch - Flag (filled w/Playful Patterns DSP - Pear Pizzazz and Island Indigo; Pear Pizzazz Small Dots DSP; Island Indigo Small Dots DSP -- created by me); Square (filled w/ Crumb Cake)
Embellishments - Twitterpated (button - Island Indigo); Staples and Stitching (zigzag - Chocolate Chip)
Font - Banner (Early Espresso)

Wooden Bloom

In creating the card up top, I started out by trying to incorporate this sketch in my card.  However, when I added the '9' white butterflies (that I wanted because of the sketch)...... you could hardly see that there was a flower underneath all those butterflies.  It looked way to busy and I wasn't liking it at all.  So, I created my own card...... with just one butterfly.  Not sure if my card will be a Birthday or a Thank you card, so I left it blank inside.

Maybe I'll try the sketch again later this week..... we shall see! =)

Getting inspiration from sketches have helped me 'think outside the box'.  I've created some amazing cards, and I'm so thankful for all the inspiration that is out there online.

With this page complete..... I have successfully finished our 2010 photobook! Whoohoo!
Wow! It feels so wonderful to have completed this task!
